Welding off a battery pack like that is a hell of a test. I'm impressed. I doubt many others on the market would be able to do that.
Nice video and a great presentation for the sponsor. I was particularly impressed that the batteries would keep up with the welder.
Thanks! Yes, that impressed me as well.
I have been looking at these or other brands recently. One u-tuber said that in his experience, this was the best brand. That it would operate a welder is a definite selling point. Thank you for the demonstration.
I met some guy a few years ago that had welding a job in a ski station with no power, they used some kind of battery powered stick welders
I agree. Being from humanity's future, I recall clearly that at the moment of apocalypse, everyone screamed for the welders to save us. I don't recall why exactly, but it had something to with welding something to something else that would have saved everyone but there was no electricity. Alas, that was but one possible future which can now be averted with this technology. I suspect, however, that calamity in the form of either welding rods made of peanut butter or pipe made out of beryllium phosphate will do us in this next time around. But I like the idea of these power cells nonetheless, to power the stills and brewing apparatus. Makes the apocalypse bearable if nothing else.
why does he wear a respirator?
I love that your videos always leave the viewer guessing. Even when I saw you place it, I thought 'well that's the daffs fenced off... but why?'
Oh the robotic mower! Nice build.👍
It says a lot about you my friend that this company opted to have you try out and make videos about their kit...
Definitely different testing runs, forge, grinder etc.
As always with you, entertaining, informative and educational.
You've now got another job...product demonstrator.
Good one...
Ha ha, thank you!
The contrast of technologies is very interesting (from the robot lawnmower to the super battery) and on the other hand the simplicity and dedication to your beautiful garden, unfortunately we live in different worlds, with the good and the bad of each one. Thanks for sharing that tremendous technological advance.
Looks like an impressive unit. I've been without power in my shop this summer and it has been a challenge.
Running an arc welder off of a battery pack, I'm impressed. Nice video, great use of some old rebar.
Thanks 👍
The technology keeps getting better; this would be welcome on our little farm, where the power fails too often. Since it would run the blower on my forge AND my stick welder, this is going on my "acquire" list! Thanks!
Best review yet I've seen on these EcoFlow units, mainly the real world shop testing. The engineering and modular designs on these is quite good, including the panel kits, imho. Good design is always expensive but a 4k investment is substantial for an old geezer on fixed income. Glad that you hooked up with them and did a bang up job testing it for us!!! Thanks Torbjorn always appreciate what you bring to us!
Expensive for sure as most Li-Ion batteries are, but could be worth the investment for some! Thanks
Thank you, Torbjörn for taking the time on showing the versatility of this unit.
Play safe from Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada.
Thanks
Congratulations on finding a good sponsor. They have nice products.
My family and I were affected by Texas' power grid failure back in Feb. 2021. We definitely could have used one of these to get us through it.
Generac is instant power, and doesn't require solar power to charge it. I'm assuming you suffered through the polar vortex situation, and the Biden fossil fuels cancellation, which his energy secretary dictated for all natural gas pipelines to be shutdown also, which froze the valves shut, rendering the emergency critical, and people froze to death, and tens of thousands suffered immense property damage also. Fossil fuels are still FAR more reliable, but that battery pack is impressive don't get me wrong, the world just is DECADES away from canceling all fossil fuel energy.
Honestly if we were to stop using fossil immediately, I don't think it would take that long to figure out new solutions.
@@torbjornahman well, when it costs 22 thousand dollars to replace a battery in an electric vehicle, solar panels drastically lose efficiency in winter weather and constantly need cleaning to provide their 47% efficiency of hydroelectric, and fossil fuels, and windmills have a 10 year service life, and also require fossil fuels in the form of oil and grease to operate, it would be CATASTROPHIC to stop all coal, gas, and oil generated electricity. Plus, there's not heavy equipment powered SOLELY by electricity to mine the LITHIUM to make the batteries anyway, and lithium is getting more scarce by the year. America has the largest oilfields on earth, but a RETARDED corrupt 50 year FAILURE in government and life was RAILROADED in to keep certain world criminals in power, or we wouldn't be seeing the INFLATION rate of historic levels. I don't know the answers, but something more reliable and replaceable the battery powered systems is needed to convince people to convert. 🤷🏿♂️
@@torbjornahman how would you forge without coal? Not to mention these power sources are just batteries. They all take tremendous amounts of fossil fuels and tons of mined minerals to manufacture. If the world stopped fossil fuels all at once people would freak out with no phones or UA-cam. Wind and solar can’t come close to the load that humans require.
@@gregdazer8395 For a forge I can use charcoal with no problem, it just more practical with coal as it lasts much longer. Indeed there would be panic, but with panic people will find new solutions :) I'm pretty sure we already have alternatives more or less, it's just a matter of people investing in new tech but very limited amounts of money are actually spent on research like this or on implementation. It's so much easier to keep burning fossil.
Well never knew this item existed! Now I do. Looks to be one of the very best on the market. Actually no surprise there as you have only the highest standards and would only showcase a product of the highest tier for your Patreon and subscription base.
Great video and fantastic production!
Thank you my friend.
Blessings abundant
Crawford out 🙏⚒️🔥🧙🏼♂️
Thanks
Very impressed with your presentation, EcoFlow should be very impressed with how you showed their producti in a real world application.... although, not sure how many people would be welding with it, however, it shows the capability of this power source.
Обычно рекламу и распаковки не смотрю, но это посмотрел с удовольствием, мощная штука.
Very glad to see you were able to get sponsored by them!!
Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
A really cool idea with this anti-lawn mower fence. From what you can see, the power bank actually has a huge capacity. I have a garage without electricity. I have been thinking about using such a power bank in my case for a long time, but I was curious how it actually works. You can see from your video that it would be a good idea for a garage
Thanks!
Wow.. amazing content. The best sponsored video I've seen. I may actually buy something from these guys.
Thanks
This is the power I was talking about with the Delta Max.
Thank you very much for this overview! Such equipment would always be useful in the countryside, to my mind.
best portable battery pack video ever. It's amazing you could weld off an EcoFlow.
I've always wondered about welding from a battery pack, the grinder was a bonus! Very nice!
As always, outstanding craftsmanship and by far the best demo of a sponsored product
Wow! Again Torbjörn Ahman you've shown high quality. Both the work you do and the tools you use are great.
Awesome video. That power pack is a monster and putting it to the test using the welder was a very good way to show its potential.
Again, just a lovely little forging project that just makes life fun to live.
Joy and Gratitude from Québec.
Keep it up.
Thank you very much!
That's pretty cool that you can run ur shop off one of those. Can't wait to see more videos soon my friend. Hopefully you get great use out of it for many years to come my friend. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Forge On. God Bless.
Well, I can't run any 3-phase machines, but the basic things will work fine!
@@torbjornahman
And if you use a frequency inverter? It has a single-phase input and three-phase output plus you can vary the frequency according to your requirements.
@@ivanlarin86 Yes, and no... Single phase converters usually does not step up the voltage so I would get 230V 3 phase, which would require a re-wiring of the motor to D-drive instead of Y. Since they are all wired for 400V. I could run my wood lathe which is already wired like this.
@@torbjornahman
Sounds reasonable!
I enjoy hearing from a Craftman with your many skills and believe they need fine folks such as you Sir, as my spelling is weak but I do realize you have lots of smart skills, Also you have magic skills.
I'm enjoying this advertising.
Thanks you I hope thier products are fair for their cost.
Haha good job mate. I wondered what it was until the very end!
Very good review, ECOFLOW has one of the best power stations out there. I did a long term review of my ECOFLOW River Pro and that thing lets me work from home off grid all day.
Cool!
Thanks for the awesome videos!!
I got the EcoFlow River a few months ago. Works well.
As always great video, even with time in green house. Very good description on how well the power source works.
Excellent new tool for you and your family! It is always relaxing to watch your videos. Thank You, Torbjorn.
Love the plant saver Torbjorn Dude! TFS, GB :)
Impressive gadget !! That power unit could be very useful in my neck of the woods, namely outback and isolated areas of Aus. Would be very handy to be able to do small welding jobs without having to cart around a large generator, not to mention camping trips etc. Top video as usual, enjoyed the review of that power unit. Regards from Down Under.
Definitely. They are not cheap, but probably worth the money in situations/areas like that.
Nice and clean design.
Wonderful project
Pretty amazing piece of equipment
Thanks for the video. I think I am gonna need that Delta Max.
That is one neat unit and I really like the flower guard. A great demonstration.
Very cool Love the lawn mower.
Forgot to mention, being able to recharge it from the sun would be very advantageous here down under,no shortage of sunlight here.
Yes, and you can charge it with 800W solar which will charge it fast!
Wow, that’s a impressive battery pack!
Wow! Impressing!
That power unit seems to have some really good batteries to cope with the welder! In most of the cases the batteries will fail first and if possible, need to be replaced. But it is still a very good and useful equipment which is a nice addition to the workshop!
Thank you for your videos! 🙂
An immense power from that unit!
This is a power station that my garage is wanting.
The crossover that I have been waiting for since trying to learn forging and how to live off-grid.
You make a fine salesman! Now I want one and I have a nice generator.
I really like the power of this power station. It does power anything you plug in it.
Great post my friend. Stay free, happy and healthy ✨️
Cool device! And also some nice protection for the Påskliljor :D
Gran vídeo, muchas gracias.
great work
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the video, a pleasure to watch, the lawn mower robot is so cool.
A very good product, I'd see this perfectly for a week-end or even a week camping off grid.
If only used for phones, lighting, perhaps a couple of laptops and low power consumption stuff, it can last for a long time, not to mention the solar panels, I see they provide 240 W. Means that every 4 hours you get 1 KWh available again if I got it right.Which means up to 1/3 of its available power.
Yes it lasts a long time for things like that. Each of those panels are 160W, and with full sunlight they provide about 315W. However you can charge with 800W solar if you have that available.
That was a very nice test to watch with a lot of useful information! I don't think I have said it before but I enjoy watching your videos a lot. I am quite interested in technical stuff. However a lot of the other videos I watch seem to be quite "fast food material". Your videos are a welcome change of pace for me :)
Thank you! Cheers!
Are the battery pack and mower friends yet? I’m sure they must have a lot in common.
It amazes me how much this has advanced in the past few years. Great video as usual.
Ok, why not? I am used to sponsors in the PC tech media so i think it is good that you are backed up (not only electrically :D) but also financially.
Exelent product demonstration... 🥂
Very nice video 👍
Well done.👌👍😉
Отличная работа!)
very impress and what sold me was you hook up the welder to it.
I have just looked at the characteristics of this UPS on the company's website - a pretty good thing. With a power of 2.6 - 3.4 kW, if you don't load the connected devices too much and use them moderately, then I think one charge should be enough for a day. And if you connect additional batteries, you can increase the power to 6 kW.
I found myself trying to blow the slag off the anvil during the close up shots🤣 habits I suppose.
That’s a very impressive power station. Compact and very easy to use. Did you try the mig welder? I’m sure it needs Atleast 4,000w maybe more depending on make and model.
Well, the mig is 3-phase...as most of my machines.
@@torbjornahman well that makes sense. Had no idea it was 3 phase. Mine are all single phase 240v so it made me curious.
@@erikcourtney1834 We use almost exclusively 400V 3 phase for heavier machines. Here every household has 3 phase.
@@torbjornahman that’s pretty smart that it was set up that way. Less current needed at higher voltages.
I can understand the part with the sponsor stuff. Great video as always
Impressive power...
Awesome
very nice machine :)
Good vidéo.
Running the welder is definitely impressive.
You speak great English 👍
I am impressed with fast charging of the Delta Max. I agree that it is one of the fastest charging power station in the market.
Like it was in "Futurama": Welcome to the world of tomorrow! )
Wireless robotic grasscutter and powerbank suitable for welding. Amazing.
:)
So good. Amazing.. Brasil
Hello !!!! Saludos desde 🇵🇦 siempre fiel a su canal.
Hola y saludos desde Puerto Rico
Is that a special kind of rebar that welds? You're truly a master blacksmith!!
I think you can weld most rebar, no? Perhaps not great but still.
@@torbjornahman I thought you had to use type B? Maybe not?
For actual structural integrity I have no idea, but for something like this it just needs to "stick together". :)
@@torbjornahman
Good to hear. I was thinking about building a log rack but decided to use treated lumber Instead.
I tried to weld two pieces together but it didn't hold. I'm not much of a welder though. Have a great day!!
Neat
@11:02 what is that square block with the all the holes and Radii/Radiuses on the outside called?? I recently got into blacksmithing and I've been wanting to get one but I have no idea what it's called and trying to describe it, to be able to google it hasn't been easy lol.
Wow I'm really impressed that the power bank had enough power to run an arc welder. 😱👍👍
It's called a swage block!
Geni
I want one
Might be a good product.
Think about where the angry pixies came from before they went into the box.
The new create
Surprised you could run the welder with it. Also pretty neat you can expand the battery capacity on it as well.
Lawnmower looked really sulky after not being able to massaker the flowers.
:)
A cool feature of USB C is that it can vary the voltage, up to 36 volts I believe. 100 Watt is just 3 amps, no problem.
I like the way you use the machines in your forge to showcase the EcoFlow Delta MAX, it looks like it has the power to last - always enjoy your videos
p.s what is the name of that cat, lol
Thanks. His name is "Tusse" :)
@@torbjornahman Lol,,
Masakra 😃🤩
Wow es impresionante la capacidad . Excelente para camping . Pero son 2mil dólares
I really couldn't tell if the build and end of this video was satire or not. Regardless it's both genius and hilarious.
:)
👍👍👍
Hello nice ! after this you must do a beautiful leather case for ecoflow to protect it and transport regards 😃
:)
「ジャララーン!!」(嬉しそう)
Nice, Welding too. At $3600 it wouldn't be for me. Love the technology though.
Always a pleasure to watch you my friend but I do have a bone to pick. How did you obtain my cat ?
:) Thanks!
👍
👍👍👍👍
It needs a 45A Power Pole outlet or two, but very nice.
:) 3 phase next! :)
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️
