I love playing this game so goddamn much. It makes me giggle to select Orix Legends and have Yamamoto starting with his old manager Nakajima behind the dish, or have Nakajima's successor Kishida pitching to him, plus a lineup with Ichiro; who can run like a spooked deer, and Boomer Wells, who literally smashed a fucking building across the street from Nishinomiya Stadium with a homer in the late 80s.
The Koshien mode is called "Eikan Nine" where you play as a coach and starting in a no name school, the matches are autoplayed by your players and you'll get several interections to give player instructions. You develop high schoolers getting better training equipment, improve your training ground, improve your school's repution, scout middle school players and you just go through the high school baseball calender in sort of like a game of life manner, so it's not just summer Koshien, there's also the spring Koshien invatational and the Autumn Meiji Jingu tournament (this one is going on irl right now!) All the pro players can also "reincarnate" and can randomly appear as freshman in their home prefacture, so if you set your school to be in Iwate for example, there's a very small chance that players like Ohtani and Roki Sasaki can turn up as reincarnated freshman in your school and yes these rules can also apply to the other schools, one of my years the other team had a Ichiro regen on their team and I almost shat my pants. This year the game also introduced exchange students, so in some years you can get foreigners in your freshman intake and yes that means there's also a slim chance that someone like Randy Bass (or any other foreign player in their database) can end up as reincarnated freshman in your school. This is also the first year that reincarnated pros can pop up in the middle school scouting list. Extremely addictive game mode.
Fun Fact for you Dimmu, I know you love these. I played vs Tyler Austin in high school in Ga. Later on when he was playing for the Yankees I got to meet him at a hotel I worked at and got to actually talk to him. Hes pretty awesome guy!
The Yokohama BayStars are the most fun team to watch in Japan! Not only do they play baseball, but they also have a relay between the cheerleaders and the audience between innings! If you ever come to Japan, try to see a BayStars game!
Dudeee that game was the best and my favorite game i ever played on the wii, the career mode was so much fun, i made so many players and used them in the season mode
There's a lot more to do in this game compared to PBS so i hope you have fun exploring all the different options. You can make custom pitches in PBS too if you create a player in Spirits mode, they wont have the special effects like Power Pros but you can still change things like break, velocity, etc.
I bought the 2019 version and I stil play it from time to time. Its great and I love it. They released last year an esport fun game of it. You can buy it for 1$. Its english language but have no single player mode and only "fun" teams. I would love an english version. Im a big fan from Japan baseball and I can only recommend to go there and visit a baseball game. I was in Koshien, visited the Stadium with a tour and was there on a game Hanshin Tigers against the Giants. It was the best day of the trip. Hanshin Tigers ! Hopefully next year you will win Central League again 😎
I recommend trying out the Powerful Festival mode. It is very fun and has great replay value. Even though there is a story, you don't really need google translate to understand the gist of what's going on. It's basically a tourney where you pick your opposing team each round, and when you win, you get to steal a player from the losing team. Game mode also has rouge-like elements.
If the name sign on the right is yellow, it means that the player is an infielder. Green means it’s an outfielder. Blue means catcher, Red means Starters, and pink means relievers. Also, Tyler Austin is awesome in Japan. Got the best average in the central league.
I kind of accidentally discovered it, forgive me if the instructions are unclear since I’m using Google translate. But here’s how to do it On the home menu go to LIVE Team -> Total Ranking (Or weekly ranking) You’ll find quite a few major league teams that someone has built, it’s pretty cool! EDIT: I’m on the switch version, so I’m unsure if they are on PS5 or not, but I’ve been able to get every major league team downloaded onto mine
Have been playing this series since the Nintendo SFC, really fun to play and build your own player through Success Mode and hoping getting drafted after 3 years high school life 😊
Superstar Mode with an MLB player was and still is my favourite career mode of all time. There was a mechanic where if you broke your bat, your player lost stats for a few ABs while he adjusted to the new bat he was using.
I put so many hours into the franchise on this back on the Wii… I remember hating the cartoony look of it at first but it grew on me and was one of my favorite games. Need both the Japanese baseball games in English.
Hello. I am happy that the United States and Japan can communicate through baseball and games. Here's one piece of trivia, but in the late 2000s, when Ichiro and Matsui were active, there was a major version of Power Pro. If you don't mind, I'd like you to play that as well. This comment uses a translator.
Konami actually put out a weird mini Power Pros last year on PS4 and Switch. Its called WBSC eBaseball. No season, only exhibition modes. No real players, just a mashup of pretend players, girl softballers, zombies, samurais, etc. It does have online, if anyone is even still playing it. I remember not being able to find a match. But also, it was also $1.
That game was made so that the IOC/WBSC had a game that they could use for eSports application lol, fixed player pool, each player has a designated power value and you can set up your competition roster based on a power limit.
Lock-on (hitting assist): Level 1-3 Computer pitching cursor: Hidden Ball speed level: Fast I've been a long-time fan of this game, and this is the recommended setting! (The same goes for the Prospi series)
He was my starter, and then I also went to the lineup, scrolled down and put him in. A promo pops up asking if you wanna use him as DH and pitcher, and I clicked yes
No doubt I’d buy this game and play it, do you have to buy it overseas from an online store? Anywho, I still have the 2008 mlb power pros on the Wii and still play it heavily, absolutely love this game and mlb needs to bring it back. It’s a ton of fun.
So after playing all of these games, will you be coming here to witness a Japanese baseball game in person because its worth it, and if you need help I can get to where you need to go.
@ you would be surprised how affordable it is other than the ticket and long as plane ride. If you ever do, I would gladly help you buy tickets or translate. Could be a hell of a honeymoon location.
@ well its very English friendly here., and plenty of money saving hacks. Portable Wifi for rent, and train passes for foreigners that will give you unlimited rail passes on the JR line. (train that takes throughout most of Japan) also, just think of the content you could film.
check out my second channel where i deep dive the Japanese baseball games! ua-cam.com/play/PLs-VeLYSX4fzVfuOtTEt18Ftj0XY-M6uU.html

Extremely addictive game mode.
I love this kind of gameplay. Kind of kairosoft games on Mobile where you just manage and your players auto simulate. Sound addicting
10:08 Michihiro Ogasawara. His batting stance is really iconic in Japan, cause it looks like he was gonna hit that ball no matter what
小笠原の異名は「ミスターフルスイング」

10:03 the bat flip!! 🔥🔥 Epic!
They put out an English version of this, in 2007, called MLB Power Pros for PS2/Wii. It ruled.
yeah greatest baseball game of all time
Was so fun on the Wii
@@himynameisripley yea but they haven’t since like 08 I want more recent versions like this one too
There is/was a PowerPro download only in the Nintendo e-store on the Switch (WSBC ebaseball Power Pros ). It's from 2023 and in English.
Dudeee that game was the best and my favorite game i ever played on the wii, the career mode was so much fun, i made so many players and used them in the season mode
Both of these Japanese games would be an instant buy for me if they were localized for English
MLB Power Pros was my childhood

That’s so wild. Glad he’s doing well, he was rough when he was in the states.
My absolute favorite baseball game, love this game. Someone even created all 30 MLB teams in this game for people to download and use!
I wait really? How do I do this?

Def need an English version. I'd be all over it. 😊
I want a MLB version of this sooooo bad updated version of the 2008 game
It looks so much like Extra Innings on the SNES. I use to play that game SOOOO much.
More backyard baseball? This looks like a game that would be great on the Switch or steam deck.
I know I make a lot of dumb jokes on Twitch… but the little kid like excitement saying “L1 R1” when u beat the throw is the reason I genuinely like u.
I’m glad you enjoy pal
I lost to an FCS team in my new north Texas dynasty. I feel your pain playing with Air Force, my receivers couldn’t catch shit.
HEY FELLAS IT'S A NEW @DADDYDIMMUTV VIDEO! LET'S GO!!!!!!!
2 weeks late but I'm here for the horn on those Japanese legends bat flips
We need a series 😊
They need to release an English version of this game.
I would love to see you continue the other game high school mode
I would love to see you play this game again

I’d cop the English version of this so fast
7:11 😂😂 I wasn’t expecting him to jump over the ball. The pain of learning new controls.
I will definitely be importing this game as well lol
It’s fun!
Id buy this if it were in English, even if it were Japanese teams, looks like tons of fun
パワプロくんが世界進出したぞ!
Lot of fun to watch and I don't even care about baseball.
Power Pros has been a long running series in Japan since 94 and it lead to Konami doing an offshoot of it in 2001 that's we got Pro Spirits.
W video dimmu
im glad you enjoyed!
How do I get a hold of a Japanese copy?

Yes

I feel like the peoole who make this game, have no idea how much they would make if they made another MLB one
