This one is pretty simplified but yes... the professionally-made gurdys are really nice. I'm assuming you probably already follow Patty Gurdy on UA-cam. She has some amazing instruments. ua-cam.com/channels/SEOK9G-A2oCyZwdGesCpIg.html
@@musicalmiscellany yes, hers are too cool. There's another kit out there, the Nerdy Gurdy, which apparently comes out as a pretty solid instrument. I might try it this summer!
Oh yeah. I've built a lot of stuff. I created a playlist and strangely enough... most of early projects were synth/electronic. Somewhere along the way I started building more string instruments. This is a unique project though. I love the aesthetic. This one is still one of my favorites though... ua-cam.com/video/8VsIE9o-uoE/v-deo.html
Wow! That must be the most intricate instrument kit I have seen! Thanks for sharing! I had no idea anyone even sold such a kit.
My wife finds the darndest things. :-)
That is so cool! I am really wanting a real hurdy gurdy some day, but this thing keeps tempting me, haha :D

Wow that is one cool looking instrument. I think it is so amazing that you create and modify your own instruments!! Very cool!!
It actually reminds me of synth music. So neat never heard one before. And happy birthday !!

That looks awesome, and it seems fun to build.
Ha ha. It was a lot of fun. Thanks for checking in Daniel.
nice dude
Thanks for watching.
Could u change the string out?
Oops, didn't see the comment below
I would imagine you could swap it with a nylon guitar string. Thanks for checking it out.
Could you put better strings on it?
I was wondering that too. I could try some classical guitar strings or maybe ukulele strings.
