Celtic Woman is an all-female Irish musical ensemble conceived and created in 2004 by David Kavanagh, Sharon Browne and David Downes, a former musical director.
Celtic Woman's fresh fusion of traditional Irish music alongside contemporary songcraft celebrates Ireland's ancient history while reflecting the vibrant spirit of modern Ireland.
The group's repertoire encompasses Irish classics, contemporary songs, classical favorites and stirring originals. The lineup of performers has evolved in the years since the group's inception, but the signature sound of Celtic Woman has remained consistent, showcasing the members' individual and collaborative talents.

The group's line-up has changed over the years with eleven albums having been released. 2018 album 'Ancient Land' and subseuquent filmed concert special were both dedicated to founder and guidling light Dave Kavanagh, who died in April, 2018.

I have NEVER seen celebrities so professional on stage and so real and pleasant off stage! Celtic Woman is naturally my favorite!!! Their love for what they do and being together shows! Ireland take me away!
Megan is a GODDESS
Celtic women are great, I would definitely go see them. Last year was the first time I heard Gaelic spoken or sung and it’s great. Both sides of my family came from Ireland and none of them knew Gaelic, they really just talked about current events and didn’t get political either. It’s bringing an old language back.
The Violin (no matter who is playing over the years) belongs in the Musical Band not on the front lines with the voices which is what people are there to hear but I suppose the musical interlude does give the voices a break - over the years there have been some stunning combinations of performers all of the voices were outstanding and each era of the Celtic woman had it's favorites to each and every one of us, I have my favorite in this make up as well. The arrangements of individual songs have changed from a more formal style to a less formal style which is disappointing But the over-all Productions are still great and if I had the means to attend a live performance I would do it in a heartbeat. Love You Ladies -- please keep entertaining us for years
