I picked up an Elvia at the show today serial #5. Looking forward to what other automatics come out.
Nice!
I don’t own an Emerson (yet) but I really would like to have one of these.
My first Emerson I purchased back in 1990 ATS 34 steel was titanium liners the pocket clip says Benchmade QCQ 7
Nutnfancy introduced me to him, absolute excellence!
Legend!
I really want a Commander!
Love the Elvia. Ed seems like a great guy…hope you sell a ton of them. How about a fixed blade version? 🙏🏽🤞🏽
Check out turner CNC an kopis designs for that.
All us flippers waiting for the Balicomp coverage!
That will be tomorrow!
If it had the wave feature I'm sold!
There is a manual one with a wave
@mattbeers3065 well thank good sir!
Yep wave manual on there site
@ACGREAPER I know who makes it so don't get me wrong. But omg the price!! I wish I had the 💰 🤑 💸
I have a couple Emersons, but only because of the wave opener. I like them, but if they didn’t have the wave, or if other companies did a wave opener, I don’t think I’d be into them.
I personally think the zt 0620/0630 was the best made Emerson design ever. Bins quality is was on point, chunky af, cut great and priced well.
Wish they'd do a line of tantos in a non chisel grind. Imo chisel grind is trash
I agree not a fan of the chisel grind !
Those models are vicious! Emerson >Microtech for 2024!
🇲🇽☠️🇺🇸
I wonder if they've improved their fit and finish, because emersons are criminally overpriced for what you actually get. I've owned a few super commanders in my time, none of them lasted long in my collection due to being assembled by a blind person using their toes. Can't even get the liners flush with the scales, and they look like they were finished with 40 grit sandpaper.
Knives are generally thought of as abysmal for self defence vs other tools, but ask anyone involved with Emerson, you'll get the same answer. Most of their knives are self defence tools, not show or even utility blades. Do they cost a lot? Yes. Thankfully there are so many choices on the market now that everyone can pick something for their budget.
I have an A100 that I’m really disappointed in. It was my first really expensive knife but it cut worse than my more budget knives. Fit and finish were worse too. I haven’t carried it for years now. The main thing it had going for it was the name. That was years ago so I can’t speak to how good they are now but I haven’t thought about buying another one.
I’ve carried the same Emerson Kershaw for 3 years and the only thing that’s gone wrong is the screws on the pocket clip getting a little bit too loose because of lack of maintenance but that’s 100% my fault.
I’ve had a lot of Emerson knives and they’ve definitely gone through years where QC was severely lacking. Thankfully every Emerson I’ve had in the last 4 or so years has been stellar. They do need to upgrade their steel game soon though if they want to keep up. They’re using magnacut on some new stuff they teased on social media so fingers crossed
@@lordtachanka903 That's because it wasn't made by emerson, it's an emerson design produced by kershaw (probably in china), which is saying a lot.
Who?
Cool knife, Emerson should GTFO California !!
It’s so weird that they don’t do international business anymore.
Too many customs seizures. A lot of countries don’t consider knives tools and customers lost a lot of money on extra shipping and rate exchange and custom fees.
Never buying an Emerson again, the worst fit and finish in the business and poor materials. I don't know how the the autos or Elvia manual are, but the others being in production for years, not worth my money.
Claw shaped blades are dumb as hell. We aren’t birds, we don’t need talon shaped blades. They look stupid
Only idiots buy Emerson knives and only idiots buy automatic knives so this makes total sense.
