The guy who always dogs you for not getting the better thing, or doing your build different. For example, I have a ZL1 and had some minor mods done, cam, underdrive pulley, headers. I just got the stage 1 cam because I want to enjoy the car for a long time and I was worried about reliability. And mainly wanted a nice chop at idle. There’s a couple guys that are always like you should have got the stage 4, you should’ve went with the upper pulley too, you should’ve etc…. I’m like “damn, you gonna finance all that sh!t for me too”. It’s my car, my build and I like it the way it is.
That corvette than ran from the cops looks to have quiet racing fake plates on the back, the ones that say 'Will run' from what appears in my social media sometimes, they seem to have switches that turn all their lights off at night, some also put the same lights as cops in their cars, usually they post the typical cringy edgy automotive Instagram reels where its a cop car with the caption being 'try to run' followed by it transitioning to their cars and the caption changing to 'if you can keep up' or something like that. I know more because I had to deal with a new guy in the car club I am with wanting to try to have our club which is partially funded by our school to talk and try to host these people who post incriminating stuff about themselves online.
Hahaha I know exactly what types of videos you're talkin about! When I saw it the first time, I just thought "ha he's just saying his car's fast" but after seeing 100 more of the same memes with different cars, I realized too many of those people probably would try to run

Bruh, sorry that an old-timer has to hit you to Facebook things, but by far the most common reason that people put $1,234 as the price for their car is that they are parting it out and they may or may not have individual part prices in the description. And following that, the next most common reason is as, another has stated here, people are unsure as to their cars value and are just testing the waters and looking for input.

I agree, theres a time and place for everything, and I've run into idiots out there as well. Most recent, this guy and his friends trying to race me while my 11 year old was in my car. I just laughed at him and told him I don't wanna take his money...lol I don't know if my Challenger Scat would beat an S5 Audi, and don't really care, I like my car better. But, not racing people with my little girl on board.
Lots of respect for that man, it's just not worth it but he doesn't understand that yet
@@LibertyDrives I try to stay away from trash talk, on line, and on the street. A lot of times, people are just jealous, or they think because they modded that they can beat you. Maybe they can, who knows, but I still love my Challenger 392 more, and it doesn't get beat very easy.

Personally I never understood why people are so invested in breaking the law and trying to brag with the fact they escaped the police. You're not in a movie or Need For Speed where you get a reward for doing so. It's actually even more satisfying when they get caught despite having so much power they can't use due to a lack of skill.
As a German I can tell you with no speed limit at times and a rather basic pick for police cars (Mercedes E220 with like 190 hp) it is probably really easy to outrun them, even if you can't really drive fast cars until you're 25 or saved up your whole life until you got your driver's license for a new GTI or BMW M2.
Overall I liked going over the speed limit when I was immature, but never to the point where I would endanger anyone. No real point in that at the end of the day. Nowadays I move so that I'm faster than most people and radars still just barely ignore me, so like 1 mph (or 3kph) over the speed limit. Driving with GPS on display is a real game changer sometimes.
Totally agree with you. When I usually just stay with traffic unless they're all goin slow and then I like to cruise at like 5 mph over the speed limit cause it's very normal where I live and nobody gets pulled over for it. Pulls and stuff are always fun at the right time but the whole idea is that they're just a pull, not sitting at a high speed afterwards

Hey man! First of all congrats on bein 19 and having more money to your name than a lot of early 20 year olds I know lol. I think it depends on what type of car you want (SUV, sedan, coupe, etc). Once you figure that out you can probably find a few specific cars that you like and then I'd suggest finding the cheapest one in good condition that you can find out of those. If you've got 12k, I probably wouldn't spend more than like 6k for a first car, but I'm very not picky at this point. You just always wanna keep at least 12k on hand if you can help it when you own a car and I think you can get a great first car for 6k. Depending on where you live and if you do dealership vs private sale, I think you should be able to find something with 80-90k miles, no accidents, no mechanical issues (test drive it, check for rust/rot in the suspension, test the ac, all windows and doors, the radio, etc.), make a list of all the stuff to check BEFORE you go, it'll make it a lot easier to keep your head on straight while you look and don't feel wrong at all for taking your time to look, that's what smart people do lol. A couple ideas for cars would be: Fusions, Escapes, Pontiac G6s (my very first car lol, got it for 3300 from a dealership in 2016 with 70k miles), Malibus, my friend has always had early 2000s BMW 3 series and they've been great for him, or VWs would probably serve you well. Those are just a few but try CarGurus (if you want to buy from a dealership) and use all the filters (no accidents, max miles, coupe/sedans/SUVS, etc). Always negotiate the price, for a 6k car you could offer 5200 and expect to pay 5600. For private sales, also know easy things to fix that you can bring the price down on. For example, if the driver window doesn't move, tell the seller you'll pay less for the car but you'll know you probably just have to check the wiring and window motor for $20-$50. @@DanielReyes-yq1go Nice nice, everything I said before is also assuming you don't have financial responsibilities. If you've got kids, are goin to college soon (especially if you're paying a lot for it), or you rent somewhere, then i'd try to spend closer to 3-4k on the car

dude come on. think things through first! facebook limits what you are allowed to put the price at. so when I sold me truck for 11,000 facebook wouldn't let me list it for more then 2k so people started using 1234 as a way of saying the price is listed in the description because facebook wont let us post the actual price. btw that truck sold for 10500. FB said it couldn't be listed for more then 2k off its value
That very well could be a thing but I've sold 3-4 cars on marketplace and have never had that happen to me or really noticed an emphasis on the estimated price from FB. I've also seen a good amount of modded vehicles with prices much more expensive than that specific trim would be (just meaning like an 08 Mustang with an aftermarket supercharger as an example so they listed it for a lot more). You may be right for some people but I feel like I still stand behind what I said about dealerships and the listings I've seen that put $1234 then want like $3000😂

You could do a Legacy! I put more on your other comment but if you want a Legacy and it fits your criteria, maybe look up their most common issues and other people's reviews, take your time finding one, and you'll be golden

These obnoxious behaviors come from immature people who have never been held accountable for their actions.
The street takeover people are the worst and should be sufficiently punished. You have to think, they aren’t just holding up people tired from work, but they’d also hold up vehicles in the event of an emergency. The fact that these people are still walking free and not imprisoned it shameful in itself.
When it comes to evading the police, doing it after the officer initiates a stop is the absolute worst time…. I think the driver of the white Charger found that out the hard way. 😂
Ultimately, such behaviors are the result of narcissists that love internet clout and themselves more than anything else.
I can understand why you got a bit agitated. I was a bit agitated myself by all the tomfoolery on display.
