Ahh I remember, me and my older cousin too played GTA sa in a laptop it was very fun. We use to copy cheats codes in a small copy and typed it in games 😂 it was the best time/moment of my life and I still have that copy where we write the cheat codes😂😂 . Iwish I could go back to those times.

The only thing holding back GTA IV is its 2000s muddy graphics but the core aspects of the game , the physics, the interaction and NPCs AI still incredible
If this game released today it would be still considered better than most other open world games
Imo what buried gta 4 was coming off of SA as the last main title featuring a plethora of 90s gangsta rap and funk bangers while you’re cruising around Cali feeling like you’re a part of the east vs west beef. In gta 4 they went from that, which is much more familiar to the games demographic, to Russian radio and characters like. Idk. I have nothing against Russians but those radio stations suck, most of the clothing niko can wear. Idk, like I said, that is very unfamiliar whereas the Cali gangsta and Florida mobster archetypes are more familiar and maybe even relatable to an extent
Honestly when I think about it now, i think niko’s military background deserved a lot more story time. The hardcore russian soldier we didn’t get to know well enough
The graphics on GTA IV weren't muddy, they were atmospheric and characterful. Whoever came up with that ugly as sin mod has no sense of design or beauty. Cold, bland and dark.

@@jagaloon14 no it didn’t, it was a narrative choice, remember the story is from Nikos POV and he’s trying to forget all that. I like that they leave Niko’s military past up to our interpretation aside from small events he tells
Gta London (1969) remastered would be bloody amazing. Or at least the 60s-70s British cars on the gta 3 mod
It's a shame that (Correct me if I'm wrong) Rockstar said they wouldn't be doing GTA games set in the non-present anymore, and also won't be making any more set outside the US.
Though, that was when different employees were working there.
Vice city actually has a lot of mods. I kind of like this one better than the ones I've played as of recent

Gta 3 didn't tbh
not gonna lie rockstar just made the perfect game back in 2008 to be very close looking to reality with all these physics and collisions and super realistic car, I think that game was just meant for modders, showing up in 2017-2022, people are just going crazy with that game

For vice city, the best one is "vice cry"
I already know that Gta1 3D is made on the classic Doom engine even the hand is doomguys hand model but i like it its the definition of art of making doom a different game
Its still jarring as all hell seeing 3d era lookibg cars and then an ms paint interior 😂
i think it was duke nukem 3d engine (played the original remake it had duke nukem 3d atomic intro and menu)
Just because it had Duke Nukem graphics on the menu doesnt mean it is the duke nukem engine doom is so easy to mod that you can import a completely new engine in it by messing with the normal phisycs engine plus Duke Nukem and Doom have basically the same engine and if not then its extremely similar
Imagine if there was GTA San Andreas stories, I think we would play as Sweet and story was before CJ left San Andreas or when he is in Liberty City and we could see how CJ's and Sweet's mom has died, Idk it's just my thoughts

I wish GTA 1,2 and Advance where to have a Remaster, they are part of the GTA history and over all Rockstar History. I think a mobile port could work, maybe being part of a "Collection". But nah, that just happends in dreams.

I only love and install mods which don't destroy the original feel of their respective game. Just like you did.
I remember that for GTA Vice City, I installed the following mods which made it feel alot better:
• Dynamic Shadows
• GTA VC Android & PS4 version vehicle pack(because those versions have high quality vehicle models and textures)
• Tommy HD model and textures for all outfits
• HD character models for most of the characters
• Original weapons with HD quality models and textures
• realistic Palm trees models which are also used in official definitive edition of the game.
Then I installed ENB mods but ENB created ambient occlusion which was too much, I adjusted it and other settings then game felt alot better. It really looked equivalent to Definitive edition.
He didn't on GTA 4. That mod was ugly as sin.

What I rate them:
GTA1: 5/10, makes the game really weird and kinda unplayable. But it’s alright.
GTA2: 2/10, not really GTA2, just the map, so can’t really rate it.
GTALONDON: 3/10, kinda the same deal as GTA2
GT3: 7.8/10, adds nice but kinda glitchy sun effects and haze effects, but not really anything else. Looks really good and better tho.
GTAVC: 8/10, makes the game look super nice, but gives a weird feeling to me and not as good as definitive versions graphics.
GTASA: 9.5/10, makes the game look super clean and more realistic, better then definitive in my opinion.
GTAADV: 3.8/10, literally just making GTA3 look really bad and buggy.
GTALCS: 7.1/10, looks more realistic, but frame rate and bugs are kinda ruining it.
GTAVCS: 8.2/10, looks super good, kinda like the definitive edition of that game.
GTA4: 10.5/10, looks super cool, I love the atmosphere, and probably the best way to play GTA4.
GTACTW: 6.9/10, not bad, definitely would love playing the game like that.
GTA5: 10/10, looks super realistic, not really a specific atmosphere, but the realism makes up for them.

PPSSPP and PCSX2 both have texture replacement, you could of used that for LCS and VCS
4:05 For me, improving the graphics of this game is not enough, I would gladly play this game again now just by improving the gameplay more than the graphics, this game from what I remember was definitely very limited
I wholeheartedly agree with you! It's not the graphics that turn me away from the game, but the stiff gameplay. Shooting in III is mostly just awful, and the deflective edition isn't much of an improvement.

I wish they release a gta defintive portable edition (LCS and VCS), i'd love to re live VCS again, i have memories of me playing on my dad's PSP and i wish i could do the same on a high end device (i could download an emulator but it's not the same as the original one)

How you intalled simple enb in your GTA IV can you please make a tutorial on that? coz in my case, my game crashed when i tried to launch the game with simple enb graphics.

I just want to inform every viewer born after 2000 that before gta 3, the gta saga was not popular at all, our real first open world game in gta style where you could jump off the car and explore the world on foot was driver 2 by Ubisoft, driver 2 was a big deal when it came out on ps1… that was THE REAL gta for us back then, not gta 1
