  • Moshav Yad Hashmona and Biblical garden
The history of this wonderful place, located near Jerusalem, between the Neve Ilan settlement and the Neve Ilan studios, begins in 1974 when the Israeli government provided an area for Finnish volunteers to live on a hill located next to the Neve Ilan settlement.
In 2000, the biblical village complex “Kfar Ha-Tanahi Yad Shmona” was inaugurated in Moshav Yad HaShmona.
This unique project was born thanks to the efforts of the Swiss organization Beit Shalom and the Israel Antiquities Authority.
The stunningly picturesque site shows how agriculture functioned in Israel in biblical times.
Here you can get acquainted with reconstructions of buildings and agricultural equipment from 2000 years ago.
But this is not the only attraction.
King David's Farm is a therapeutic horse riding farm. Offers a variety of activities for children and adults, including a therapeutic riding center that provides horse and riding therapy, riding school, excursions, riding lessons for young children, fun days, and private events in a Wild West atmosphere.
The boarding house "Yad Hasmona" is a very pleasant place to relax. Wooden Finnish houses create a pastoral, calm atmosphere. 35 good-quality wooden houses, a restaurant with our signature menu, and excursions to the Biblical Park. Here you can also organize a treat for friends (“brunch”) on Fridays and nice parties in a beautiful wooden restaurant with a terrace and views of the pristine landscape. Celebrations are also organized there: weddings, bar mitzvahs, birthdays.
