I have to say first that Im not VW fan but that will not stop me to say Im impressed, most by the engine - simply insane.... Respect to Owner/Builder (designer, engineer, constructor, artist, dreamer, electrician, electronics engineer, mechanic, thinsmith, welder, painter... and magician - to have cash, time, will and knowledge & patience to finish a car and have normal life too... ) I tryed few times to do similar thing - by my self only, rwo hands and brains... It is very, very hard thing to do, worst of all - it is slow and time consuming...expensive....and without support of family it is not possible. One more time - RESPECT ! You deserve it ! Cheers
How has this account only got 6k subscribers?! This is gold. No hype, no nonsense, just what the viewer wants to see. Glad I found this channel. I drove a VW Caddy (bakkie) for 9 years. This vehicle brings back fond memories. It's a lovely build! Love it. Tempted to get a MK1 and do something like this one day...
A beautiful build but I want mine to be a daily driver as it always has been a little money at a time to get it where I want it and it's a mark three and a half
CarsinSixty sounded terrified being in this monster - the way it just leaps forward when he accelerates is that turbo lag??? All it needs now an ECU with traction control and put normal tires in front and it also needs launch control
i have Golf mk3 GTI 2.0L 16v abf 150hp with leather in seats and door panels and it have heated seats from factory, but oil pump broke and the engine overheat and bang...........
Love the "real feel" of this video. Well done guys. Awesome build to the owner 👌brought back some good memories.

What engine brand has been used?
Nice GTI, the wheels are to big, it needs more rubber. You never see a race car with big wheels and tiny amount of rubber. Needs more Meaty tires.
How can i get hold of this guy
Hi Jaco, His name is Shane and his contact number is 0833795818.
Did he say 440hp? In a Mark 1? LOL
I need the conversion... Please share contacts...
I want to buy it 😅
What trans is in this?
He's using the VW mk4 GTi gearbox.
@@CarsinSixty nice thanks!
