On May 4, 2024, at the Sunport Festa 2024 held in Sunport Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture, we enjoyed the dances of Godyahei and Gejyaraku. Blessed with clear skies and under the sparkling light of the Seto Inland Sea, we were entertained by the dances of famous groups!
Awaodori (Awa Dance) is one of the most famous traditional performing arts in Japan, with its history of more than 430 years. "Awa" is the old feudal administration name for Tokushima Prefecture, and "odori" means "dance". Awaodori Festival in Tokushima City is held from August 12 to 15, attracting over 1.3 million tourists every year.
