After living through the 90's as a teenager in Scotland, I have to say watching this reminded me why it was the most messed up, hilarious, dangerous and enjoyable time of my life. Such good times, and all to a soundtrack made by proper musicians who were closer to the fans than any of today's crap. Oasis were not just a band but a movement, a badge, a way of living and a voice of a generation of people who just wanted to get fucked up and be belligerent as much as possible, and laugh hard whilst doing it. Good stuff
One thing I liked about this movie is how it puts you in the shoes of a young Noel as he's discovering the magnitude of his songwriting gift. It must be so wild to find something like that in yourself.
Well, can't deny they were the definition of a rockn roll band. Fistfights on stage, drunk most of the time, it doesn't get anymore rockn roll than this :D
One thing i find fascinating about these documentaries.. They always seem to have old video footage of them just doing day to day things.. like how would they know ahead of time that all the video recordings would end up in a documentary 20 years later? Crazy
One of the greatest musical phenomenons in the history of popular music - 2 Irish brothers from Manchester in the UK - the sound track to my youth and all my mates youth - don't think it'll ever be repeated ✌️🎶
I was at knebworth at that biggest concert it just showed on this trailer, i wonder if i can c myself when i watch this film lol. I love Oasis and have a picture of them right obove my bed lol.
I've GOT to see this. I got a feeling that this movie will make the Gallaghers look like bad guys, but they'll be the bad guys we'll root for in the end, and sad when it's all over. I miss Oasis. Live Forever, Liam and Noel!
Sorry mate, gotta learn to share. Not my fault I was born on the wrong side of the pond in a land that prefers shit music to Oasis. Guess I better not tell you I prefer Blur to Oasis too
Lee Blades It was shown for one night in cinemas followed by a live streamed QandA. Not sure if there are more showings but keep your eyes peeled cos it's worth seeing on the big screen.
Best rock group in last 25 years they are up there in my mind with the Beatles, Stones and the Eagles. I got into them in the last 10 years please for the love of God put the sibling BS aside and tour again.
Ahhh i loved it, it was so fuc**ng good this documentary, and i love oasis, i love Liam Gallagher, Noel and everyone ahhh i'm from Paraguay and someday i'll be in Canada to find my true way in the music like them...👊🏻🙌🏻👌🏻🎶❤🌟
it's the fate of rock'n'roll nowadays - endless films showcasing bands from decades ago, weekly documentaries on BBC4 about the good-old-days, endless bands reforming who were hardly any good the first time around.I'm not suggesting that music is not the force it once was but there seems to be plenty of evidence to suggest it has.Better watch this film quick before they reform in 2020 and there will be another one covering their reunion gigs.
drew bridge The reason these films relive old glories is basically because there is no rock n roll now and the music industry is full of X-Factor winners. A load of crap, basically. Oasis were the real deal, whether you love em or hate them and there has been nothing to touch them since.
At 0:34 where the photo of Liam is on the screen, does anyone know what the effect used on the photo is called? Where the outside of the photo looked almost stretched and he is in focus. Thanks
someone get somebody to make a tiktok of this and then have a trend where better man came out bcs oasis is coming back and somebody wants that to be spoiled. unless they spil it themselves.

I was surprised how good it was. My mother, who is not even a big Oasis fan, cried. As did I. And my friends.
It's a great bio pic on many, many levels with probably one of the greatest soundtracks the world has known!
The band was legendary and ironically they were everthing but an oasis

They’re back. It will be biblical.

the beginning of the movie was EPIC!!!
Just seen it in the Picture House, seen them in Cork in 1996. Wonderful times and great documentary.
Didn’t realize this was produced by A24!
Those clips of them larking about had me dying!
In the words of Phil Lynott, the boys are back in town.
Only missing this movie to be released to buy in Brazil here on youtube.

Great Bio pic!
Liam Gallagher! You told them you going to be the biggest band in the world. The answer coming very soon😉
At 0:34 where the photo of Liam is on the screen, does anyone know what the effect used on the photo is called? Where the outside of the photo looked almost stretched and he is in focus. Thanks
Looks similar to a tilt-shift effect edit, where you gradually blur out the background.

100 mil quid later.... 😁😁😁
They should make another documentary that covers...y'know, the other 13 YEARS of the band's lifespan?! Perhaps call it Subsonic?
No Bluray or anything, for non-U.S. fans?
They will also release a Blu-Ray version in other parts of the world. I can pre-order it already in a Dutch webshop
It's on demand right now.
What does noel say at the end?
"I would apologise, but i'm not gonna- Cause he's a prick"
I was lucky enough to see their worst performance ever in coachella 2002. Everyone was throwing bottles at the stage.
Chris Guerrero why it is their worst dude?
Nah wot u on. That was decent. Just typical Americans not able to appreciate good humour and music
