What a classy speech by Dirk ❤❤ List amazing qualities that he's learnt over the years and attributing them to the people he learnt them from. That's the ultimate tribute and homage one could pay.
So keeping with Dirk's spirit, here goes.
Dirk I'm a 41 year old Basketball fanatic, from a 3rd world country, who worked his butt off in basketball but never made it "big". But you Dirk, inspired me to *never* accept my position as the underdog, you taught me to face adversity and challenges head on, you taught me to make the best of the very limited resources I may have and most of all, to always appreciate the people that got you there.
Have a happy retirement! You totally deserve

"Pau" means "Peace" in catalan. It is a common name in Catalonia, but for the parents to call a son "Pau", I've always thought it's something special, as it really shows their principles and values. Without any doubt, Pau really carries on thouse good values in life.

Pau is the equivalent in catalan to the spanish Pablo or the english Paul, it means small or humble.

The wins and losses, the highs and lows are all craps. It's illusory. It doesn't really exist. What exists is the relationship with your players, the coaches, their families. The wins and losses they fade away but the relationships you take them with you as you move along and will stick with you forever and that's where the self-esteem and self-satisfaction comes. We live in challenging times and this time requires that we should relate to each other a whole lot better that we do right now. - wonderful message from Pop
