Sometimes a message is just a message. The Bible does not say that Mary preached the gospel. It does not say she was ordained, as was the practice. This is eisegesis at its worst. You are reading sexism into the scripture, making this discussion intellectually dishonest. Can a woman preach? Yes. The scripture says a woman shall not exercise authority, to lead, to pastor. Why? Because it was Adam who was created first, and it was Eve who was deceived. I pray for a complete understanding of the scripture, emotional integrity and maturity, as this is about God’s order and not misogyny or sexism, and keep in mind the teacher is held more accountable than the listener although both will be judged by Jesus in the end. For scripture reference I used, 1 Corinthians 14. The chapter is about spiritual gifts and the rebuke of what we hear now as the fake tongue speaking. Also, James 3. I try to always use the word and contextual history to understand and not culture of today, nor my own opinion in having discussions like these.

Thank you for your comments. These videos were recorded because on another video topic (not related to this at all), where I stated not everyone goes to heaven there was specific comment written that "women were not allowed to preach the gospel" I knew this would be controversial and only made them to show we see examples of women preaching in the scriptures. It's funny as you are saying a woman can preach, this other person said they cannot and it seems even amongst men there is no agreement. I'm not here to argue, and I appreciate all the comments. I understand that in Corinth there was much paganism, as in Epheseus. May God bless you - WPS

@@WHISPERINGPINESSTUDIO I’ve read and watched other info as well regarding why this scripture was written. Regardless of the why, it does not change God’s intention on how he started the order of the family, that the head of the family, of the body of believers, would be a man of good reputation, has his kids, house, and business in order, and the husband of one wife. In the Greek the literal translation is a one woman man. I appreciate the conversation as this isn’t the norm. Typically someone digs their heels in and sometimes can be disrespectful.

It matters what God said, that is the ultimate authority in out lives. We are using a 1611 translation with the KJV to say that women cannot preach. What does it say in the original? In the Greek that word "submission" is not even in the 2nd Tim passage of scripture. The problem is that there are contradictions given that women did preach, did correct a man. So, if there are contradictions it is our job to search them out, to determine as best we can. I am not a feminist, my husband is my spiritual leader and I have no issues with the order that God established. And, a husband being a leader over his wife aligns with other scripture. If we are using the 1611 then we need to take away gold rings, pearls, telling our wives they are forbidden to have braids. Ephesus was a wealthy pagan community filled with sorcery and pagan worship. As in Corinth, there were instructions for the women due to their pagan practices. Knowing that Ephesus was pagan too, makes that statement about women not teaching, makes sense, due to pagan practices. If we are following a 1611 translation then men need to hold their hands up high everywhere as it says that too. I appreciate your follow up comments I wish you well and may we all search the scriptures for truth and understanding.
