The tunnels in Deep Ellum closed 2006. The Reading Room closed 2021. Museum of Geometric & Madi Art closed 2022. The Grape closed before COVID. There are no secret tunnels under Fair Park. Dinosaur Valley is in Glen Rose an hour and a half away.
Thank you for ruining the post covid magic of working yourself up to go outside, to find that perfect parking space, only to show up as another lost thing to covid.
OK, Dallas is my home, and I know about some of these places. However, how did I not know about ALL these places?! Thanks for the info, I have many new things to do and see.
You are so welcome! Be sure to check out the comments from others though. Some of these have been closed (and there are other places that our viewers have added)!
I believe I searched for Dragon Park and last time I went it was closed and it did not look at good as it 'used to'. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'd say Dragon Park is a no go because it's also pretty small.
Thank you for your comment. We described it as a "pocket park" because it's very small. There are "No Trespassing" signs, which have been up for years...It's on private property. The owner also owns the building across the street and if you call his business, Select Salon, he usually allows you to enter with no problem. We didn't delve into that much detail in the video because of length constraints.
#21 one of the last remaining Quiznos in the nation. Yes You haven't seen that sub spot since Kanye West was making the dude who did Shrek's voice feel awkward on live television talking about hurricane Katrina. You thought they all closed down. Well, Not in Dallas.
The tunnels under Fair Park, The Reading Room, Madi Art, and The Grape have all apparently closed. Everything else in the video is still open as far as we know.
Yea still see Dallas in the same light I did before far from a tourist destination like Houston Austin && San Antonio Dallas museum districts is often overlooked And w/ damn good reason🤣
Well, we won't argue about the quality of museums in one city over another. There are still lots of interesting things to do in Dallas, as well as the other cities in Texas. You should check out our video about Houston hidden gems. We just published it...Lived there for several years and really loved it!
umm, dinosaur track in dallas?? lol. you mean glen rose, tx,,,,, which is about an hour and a half away from dallas. i never heard of dinosaur tracks in the city of dallas, much less in dallas county, lived here all my life. lol. glen rose is a haul from dallas.
You are correct, sir. We said it's near Dallas and makes for a nice day trip. These videos are made for visitors primarily, and the average visitor won't see any reference to those in any Dallas guide book. That's why we included it.
IMHO, not really good to make videos like this unless you live in the area or in DFW at least, and know that these places are still existent/operational😅
Thanks for your comment! Of course, none of these are secret to you if you know about them😂. These are just generally not found in any travel guide. Also, thanks for the tip on the free play arcade!
Tell us about any hidden treasures that you love in the comments.

Wow! The video is extremely misleading.
Thanks for pointing these out...again. We've responded to these from other viewers, but do appreciate your comments though.
The Lakewood Theater is now a bowling ally. The jazz club has been closed for a while now.
Thank you for ruining the post covid magic of working yourself up to go outside, to find that perfect parking space, only to show up as another lost thing to covid.
Thanks for letting us know. That's a shame. It was a great place!
Like this. One of my favorites is the "secret" bar under the Statler Hotel, Bourbon & Banter.
YES! That's a favorite of ours, too! (Although not so secret anymore😂).

Thank you for a great video! I live here and didn't realize that some of these had shut down! It's hard to keep up with all the changes!
Glad you enjoyed! Yes, it seems like so many places have shut down over the last few years that it's hard to keep up with.
Thanks for this. With all the changes maybe you could make an updated video? What about a video on Dallas nightlife?
We're working on that now!
The Tunnels of Deep Ellum were demolished many years ago to make way for the DART line.
Thanks for letting us know! We haven't been down there lately.
lol like 20 at this point? edit: i checked, it was 2006...haha
Wow! It doesn't seem like it could have been that long! lol
Even with some of these having closed it was a nice video.I enjoyed it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I always like to see the Trinity River Audobon Center when I've got time.
That's a great spot to visit!
Love this!
Thanks!
Really liked this.
Thank you! Glad you liked it!
The Balcony Club is awesome! Best live music
Yes! It's great! Thanks for the input!🥰
Another great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'll have to go see some of these on my next visit!
Let us know what your favorite is.

++ Went during open hours but it was closed.

Great! Thanks for the tip!!
Lived there 3 years and only been to/heard of one of those.
It's amazing how little we often see around us when we live there! Glad you liked it! Don't forget to subscribe to see more videos like this!
Most of the statues have been removed in Dragon Park
Thanks for letting us know! It's privately owned so there's no telling what he's done🤷♂️
What still open lol so i can go ! Any hints

Thank you for your opinion. However, we DO live in the DFW area and have for many years.
Cidercade isn't a secret lol. Btw free play arcade is way better.
Thanks for your comment! Of course, none of these are secret to you if you know about them😂. These are just generally not found in any travel guide. Also, thanks for the tip on the free play arcade!
So the first one you mention is a bar. Thats great if your an alky and you like being in a roomful of other alkys. No thanks.
Thanks for watching! If you watched further, most of the things in the video are not bars. We hope you found the rest of the video more interesting!
Meh
Sorry you felt that way. We're always trying to improve the quality of our videos...Hope we meet your approval next time.🤞
