This is beautiful music - I often find works for organ with a solo instrument don't work that well as the organ appears to take up all of the soundspace but the saxophone just soars over it with ease here. I just wish it went on for another ten minutes!
Thanks for posting this. I had never heard saxophone and organ together before (although I note that Paul Creston wrote a piece for this combination). I like the sound and enjoyed the piece!
@Don Joelson there's a book by stamm with six pieces for saxophone and organ.. you may find it on the official site of hans andré stamm or on amazon or zerluth (a german music sheet online shop) :)
