  • Get Ready for the 2024 Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicles (CHDV) Grant Program! The Inflation Reduction Act invests $1 billion to replace existing heavy-duty vehicles with zero-emission vehicles, support zero-emission vehicle infrastructure, and train and develop workers. Under the EPA CHDV Program, the EPA plans to launch a grant program this spring to fund the purchase zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles, with $400 million allocated to projects in communities in air quality non-attainment areas.

    Claire Alford; is the Eastern Regional Manager on the Market Development team at Highland Electric Fleets. At Highland, Claire leads outreach and community engagement efforts and legislative and regulatory engagement in the Mid-Atlantic region. Previously, Claire worked as a Policy Associate at Advanced Energy Economy, focusing on regulatory and legislative transportation electrification efforts across the country. Claire graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication.     Bobby Monacella is a mom of two and has been a volunteer at Mothers Out Front since 2019, and a staff member since 2023. Bobby worked on electric school bus campaigns first in Fairfax County VA, where the school bus fleet is the second largest in the country. Her work spread to the rest of Virginia, where she helped create and pass the first-ever electric school bus state legislation in the country. She now works on the MOF national ESB campaign, helping bring MOF's signature mom-powered grassroots ESB advocacy to moms across the country. email: bmonacella@gmail.com
