i have a 2022 and held on to it cause i thought they were discontinuing the malibu but i guess not. love the malibu lt but i think ill upgrade to the 2lt love how they kinda beefed up the exterior slightly great cars never had a problem with mine. my only gripe is i wish theyd change up the interior somehow. i love how it is now but maybe a bigger screen or something.
Good review, as always. One question...you said you can pull the shifter into low and manually shift, and see what gear the car is in, on the dashboard. Isn't a CVT transmission only one gear?
If its a CVT how does it have a manual shift option. CVT dont have gears, its a belt that moves up and down a cone shapes single shaft as speed increases/decreases. Cvt are garbage but so are all these 8 gear auto trans with clutches that constantly slip and burn out, and the malibu was one that did that
@@CaydonIsaiah1 both are nice. Just depends how much car you need. Malibu is good because I drive in a large city and commutes aren’t that long. Good luck with whatever you choose!
It's ok.....but it's just ok. It just looks so bland. It wasn't much thought put in the design, especially in the interior. The Kia K5 is really killing it as far as price, tech, design and trim options. Also there's not a lot people that have much confidence in CVTs. I'd say this is a good option for a retiree that doesn't really go out much. Also as you said, it's a good fleet or rental car option. I think the average working class individual would only keep this car 2 or 3 years because this seems like one if those cars that you'd just get tired of.
@@robertriley1569 yeah but it's still missing the flare thats offered by its competitors. I truly believe that GM and Ford both just haven't been putting enough effort in their designs to hang with the competition.
@robertriley1569 to each his own. In my opinion the Kia K5, Accord and the Camry are more attractive and have more to offer. The Malibu and the Altima are missing the mark.
Soon, I would buy this as my very first sedan.
get a lexus
@@MrCleanMachine48his money, not yours!
I never knew I'd own one as a second owner but these are some nice cars
Chevy should make the LEDs standard across the board

They are discontinuing it. 2025 is the last year to be built. I just bought a 24 black redline edition. Beautiful car.
Amazing video Tony.
I’m thinking about getting a 2025 2LT. I almost like everything about this trim, but I have a feeling that the interior design needs a bit work.
The Malibu is a great product, there just needs to be some 13:39 love put into it that the Trax/Trailblazer has gotten
What does the L shifter do in a CVT?
It’s supposed to get higher RPMs for engine, specifically for downhill driving I believe.

Is it as good as a Sonata?...T.
I like it better, but on paper, Sonata has much more for same money

Can you do a Chevy Malibu hybrid review?
I will try to get hands on one. 😬
That car is still a looker, about 5k too high to get all the toys. Why Chevy discontinued it SMH
Im looking to get a brand new car next year, Im stuck between chevy malibu and the chevy suvs or Ford Explorer and honda civic or accord
I got a 2023 Malibu, I like it, it’s simple and practical but sort of wishing I went with the trailblazer

Every car magazine review the first thing they say is how nice the exterior styleing is.
