- My Pass Power Quest has begun and what a way to start it. A wild Shiny Roserade! This was quite a long hunt but I'm happy with the payoff. I say it in the video but this is one of my favourite ever finds. A wild fully evolved Pokemon like this in the 1/8192 games is so cool and really rare.
I started this hunt in Lostlorn because Audino is only 10% and I somehow managed to get one anyway, typical. I'm delighted that I got Roserade as it was my 2nd target here. Next up is Excadrill in Reversal Mountain.
I'm really excited to be hunting these Pass Power hunts & I can't wait to continue with this quest after I finish FireRed. I hope you enjoy this video!

Question im playing soulsilver and im planning to shiny hunt entei and raikou if i fainted them on accident can i reset them? I looked into it and it says to fight the Pokemon league and they go to the burnt tower is this true?

Hey Sonikks! You've done a lot of slow shiny hunts, such as all the shiny roamers, and a few shiny shadow pokemon. Considering this, I thought that the SwSh curry mark shiny method is a very fitting hunt for you

Let's not forget that Audino will be forever imortalized as your 1st White 2 shiny. What a privilege! But in all seriousness, I'm glad Roserade compensated you as, is no doubt, a magnificent shiny. Would you consider shiny hunting on an emulator with normal shiny odds cheating or not legit?
I think it's fine if it's a view to move onto real hardware in the future. You can't replace real hardware or the feel of it. Using Speed Up is cheating though, 100%.
My Entralink white level is 20, but my Exploring Power hasn't hit level 2
Why would you be annoyed by getting the rarest one first?

For Shiny Audino, you don’t need to soft reset?
The Vespiquen you can find in the Rustling Grass in this place was my first ever Shiny Pokémon.
Did you find it before or after beating the game?

congrats, you straight up saved yourself the trouble of hunting a female combee. my very first shiny was (apart from the red gyarados) a gold drifblim in black 2, full odds and not even hunting since i was on my first playthrough after the volcanic city (?)

By the way last week on my Pokemon emerald randomizer, I found a shiny Tyrogue randomly.
Bold is actually pretty good for shiny roserade considering you could’ve gotten something way worse
Bold doesn’t really do anything for it? It drops its attack stat (which it doesn’t use) and boosts it’s defence, so it can live a hit and deal damage passively with poison point. This is exactly how I bred my competitive one 😅

That's impossible. False Swipe always leaves you with 1 HP.
Does pass power 3 actually increase shiny odds? The only source I've ever seen saying that is your videos. Every other source I get mixed messages or they say it doesn't affect shiny odds.
Edit: Bulbapedia does say it as well but I can't find any forums or discussions talking about this at all. It's so vague as well like what luck power S does differently...

I just bought an SP and emerald to shiny hunt (not knowing the specifics of how emerald rng works) Kinda bummed i cant really hunt but so hyped to have an sp again. what game would reccomend solo hunting in?
edit: the only pokemon games ive ever played have been ruby and emerald, found a shiny mudkip in ruby after 70 resets on emulator but the endgame is so bad idk if wanna play ruby
Firered or Leafgreen. They don’t have internal batteries so the RNG in these games are always running. Buying Ruby or Sapphire with dead batteries will act the same as Emerald, meaning that you can’t hunt in those either. Plus FRLG would be a good experience since you haven’t played them.
@@Jim.E.Rustler Alrite so i got a repro of emerald that has a new battery, will that fix the rng? or is it the code of emerald. and yeah i was looking into FRLG and which is better (more pokemon accessible) but everyone was just like "yeah i got firered cause charizard" so i didnt find anything helpful
@@OPEK. Emerald's RNG is broken with or without a battery, but its broken RNG only prevents you from doing standard SR hunts, not random encounters or runaways. With that said, I would say to use caution if hunting on repro cartridges - they're known to be prone to random crashes and deleting save files. Obviously a legit cart of Emerald costs a ton nowadays so it may be the only viable option, but just wanted to throw the warning out there.
@@NinetyFiveFathoms yeah i figured that when i spent 11$ on pokemon emerald in 2021. from what ive heard the entire game (or seed) is set once you start the game. That would mean there is absolutely zero chance of any random encounter at all ever. because everything is predetermined. This is what ive gathered from my personal research. Is the game coded to put you into a predetermined seed or is the predetermined seed a result of the battery being dead? Is what im really wondering here
@@OPEK. You're right that the seed is set once the file is started, but that just means that it starts from the same frame every time you boot up the game. That means if your shiny frame doesn't come in the first 10 or so seconds of gameplay, you'll never hit it in a normal soft reset hunt. But if you are doing any hunt in which the game can stay on for long periods of time, it will continue to cycle through all of the frames and you'll have as much chance of hitting a shiny frame as you would on a game with functional RNG. There is a way to bypass this even with soft resets using a Battle Video, but it's much more involved and more of a hassle than is probably worth it most of the time. If you look up "battle video emerald" there are a couple guides on it, though.
For Ruby and Sapphire, this state only occurs when the battery is dead. For Emerald, an error in the game makes it so that the RNG will *always* function like this, regardless of the presence of a working battery.

This quest is a great idea - love shiny Roselia and also think the graphics in Black and White are oddly pleasing....they seem different from other generations.

Definitely a great looking shiny I legit got shiny Roselia in my Black 2 and evolved it to Roserade and it's my first shiny I ever got, Black Rose is looking awesome on my save file.

Hey mate, great video, roserade looks amazing! By the way, ive been seeing this new hunting method around recently and i thought you may be interested? Its called curry hunting and it takes ages, but knowing you i think youd be able to handle it rather well!
It looks cool but there's not really anything that catches my eye with it honestly. The targets are quite bland. Maybe if I do some sort of mark related hunt in the future perhaps.

Using Lucky Power 3 or Lucky Power S decreases the odds to 1/4096. It also stacks with the charm if you're interested.
