I had to take a moment to compliment you on this video. The slideshow format with your comments etc was very enjoyable. The length of the video was perfect. Wonderful portraits! The only camera I think I have a special bond with was my Yashika MAT 124G. I had that camera when my daughter was born. I've had a good dozen cameras since then and my current favorite is my Nikon Z6ii. I used that camera at my daughter's wedding. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much Paul and thank you for reading the description. I always wonder if anyone reads it 😅 I appreciate your feedback 😊 That is lovely that you took photos at your daughters wedding I bet she loved that 👌
Your work with depth of field is awesome, so involving for the viewer. I'm really liking the d3 shots, I hope to get one eventually. I feel like the dof on the d3 is 'deeper', or rather I get drawn in deeper to the background, but that might have more to do with the 85mm? Idk. I keep waffling with the idea of getting a d700 and saving some money, but I think I'll just regret not going all the way for the og d3 tank, lol.. Nice work, and a good video, thank you.
Thank you so much for your comment I really enjoyed reading it and great interesting feedback! Love to know if you end up with a D3! Amaaazing camera!! My Sigma 1.4 is the perfect buddy for my D3 😁
Thanks for the video Claire. Really interested in your thoughts on things. I’ve got a D850 and a D500 and also find the greens often look too vibrant and looking a bit fake. I’ve never heard anyone else say that!
Interesting video. I would like to know more about the subject of the shoot that you set out to do, ie. what artistic purpose and message the pictures are intended to convey? Wedding pictures are obvious, but this case is a bit different. If you can share how your mind works in planning the venue and lighting. Obviously the digital manipulation provides some leeway to tidy up the plan. Thanks.
That is so very interesting that you ask that on this particular shoot!!!! This was for something specific I am working on but didn't want to mention it because I don't know when it will be finished!! I wrote a rap called 'teens hurting' which I want to put photos to. Belles shoot will be part of that. I have a lot of pics to take yet to tell the story 😃 Thank you for the comment...now you have mentioned it I think I will talk about it next time im shooting for the rap, as you say it will give a little more depth to what im doing for my watchers 🙏⭐️
Re camera that I like to use / bonded… OK, don’t laugh… If I’m taking the kids for a walk and simply grabbing a camera just in case - it is almost always a D3 + 85/1.4D. I have a D4s, D3s, D3, D800e, D610, 2xD700, but almost always I gravitate towards a D3. 🤷🏻♂️ Another thought: we came back from vacation and I had a D800e and a D4s with me… Long story short, next time I’ll only take a D4s. Even with the same lenses (say 70-200/2.8) a D800e was nowhere close to the focus accuracy and responsiveness of a D4s. Perhaps for slow pace a D800e would be great, but when I had to rely on the camera, the D4s simply delivered all the time. After trying both D800e and D4s, and looking at the pictures from both, my wife said that she preferred shooting with a D4s (and preferred photos from D4s). So, I guess this is a long way of saying that a flagship is a flagship.
Wow thank you, love this!! You have a lot of cameras!!! I am really looking forward to choosing my next camera and lens and starting all over again! I love my kit, particularly my D3.....I do think there is energetically something special about the 'fresh start' of new kit, new intentions, new confidence etc. And as my D3 is all I have really known, and im sure I will return to it, I think updating my kit will be so motivational 😍 Would love to know your thoughts, if you were me what you would go for. I might look into the D4s when I begin my research 😁 Determined to one day own a 1.2 lens ⭐️💥🤩 Thank you for sharing!
I was impressed by your comment. I have a D700 and was thinking about a D3 or D4 because I think they are the only F-mount cameras whose sensors have a very natural, creamy style. I don't know how to explain it but I read many times that people who have gone through almost all Nikon equipment still prefer the imaging style of the D700, D3 or D4 (DF too).
Personally I would say crop tighter on her in the photo you took the green out of the trees. Nice shots but but both cameras are great but you could have got a little tiggers on her. Just to much wasted space in my opinion.

It's so sad that nothing of the original photos is left.
In terms of a lot of editing?
Some shoots I leave many untouched, others I enjoy creating a lot of variety. Thanks for watching
