elland road... as someone who as a kid sat with dad in the west stand as season ticket holder, then started standing in the original Kop as a teenager with my mates, with occasional visits to the Lowfields, i am optimistic about developments,. Fortunately the new stadium option at Stourton disappeared .... so developing Elland Road is the way. This should be done as Anfield was done. Build up and behind. So west stand has room to expand backwards. so leave the existing seating (so no closure in season) and build behind, and include boxes and hospitality aswell as standard seats. Kop end also has room to expand.backwards. South stand is an issue with the road. Also, introduce areas of safe standing. Standing in the Kop was the highlight for me. As you say, no-one sits in the kop or south stand anyway, and density can be increased. Even in include an area of safe standing in the away section of the west stand. This sort of development will not compromise atmosphere... it will enhance it. Note that none of the "new" stadia have an atmosphere compared to ER, Anfield, StJames Pk etc
I keep hearing about the problem with expanding the South stand because of the road but surely they could have the road go under it? I know it would be a hop skip and jump to the Peacock but there is room and it would be possible. As for safe standing, I totally agree and feel that both Kop and South should be fully standing, no point having seats in those ends at all. I don’t really have a problem with a 53k capacity as realistically it sounds right and is a massive increase anyway. Really hope that they listen to the fans on safe standing. MOT
There's only so much you can extend, and for the future. They should build a new stadium like most other clubs, because it will be so out of date with the way the future is going. Elland road should be at least 60k stadium. That is my opinion.
I saw the plans before and thought it looked well strange ground having 2 big stands either side of the pitch and leaving west and south stand the same , that would just be wierd design increase the south stand and kop from each corner of the towering east stand and leave the north stand for hospitality .
Finally, others are right about ancient and time is needed to rebuild a massive super stadium. I have no faith in Farke and 49ERS. Farke doesn't use Piroe more. To lose at home is unacceptable.
If the unthinkable happens and this year we still fail to go up, I think Gnonto's the next Summerville/Rutter type sale for £30-40million to satisfy PSR requirements. If we go up, I feel its the only way to keep hold of him and the likes of Ramazani and probably Ampadu.
My answer to the question “Is Willy Gnonto the man to take us up this year” is NO. But that’s because it’s a whole team effort and in no way down to one player. I do think Gnonto has a big part to play and I am very optimistic that we will achieve promotion. I feel that we have a better balance to the squad than last season, though we will need a bit of luck regarding injuries and/ or suspensions as numbers are relatively small. MOT
Apparantly there are 20,000 on the waiting list. Absolutely ridiculous considering the boring dross FarkeBall is. I just imagine what it will be like when they get a proper manager who has the desire to create a team that is worth watching & wins.
@@JTLive7 I had a St for 38 years. But I got in a money mess 7 years ago, my only fault. So couldn't renew in 2018. Slowly I've sorted my finances. But I still work every other Saturday so I've not gone on the list. I'm going to join the membership so I can get the odd game now & again.
Such as where.those proposals 20 years ago were in the middle of knowwhere. It should remain on or near the site, still walking distance from leeds, with its usual net work of buses, etc.
Hi moaning jt,kudos to you for identification of Bridlington having known it had its own pier, fancy that stab in the dark most seaside towns had its own piers, you even knew Grimsby, not Tadcaster. I'm on your show today. raygun, the Australian Olympic break dancer who has no points, has reached the number one ranking in the world. Answer me what piers were originally used for..
53,000,seems awfully specific for amended 🏟 stadium, personally id like a 60,000 minimum venue.we could use it for other engagements, the danger if leeds ever get a double relagation 15,000 don't look well in a 53,000 stadium, have you seen the latest clips inside evertons new ground, its fire.are you on a watchalong.whens it starting 15minutes after kick off.lol..
Got to be at least 58,000

49ers and Americans know how to do stadiums. Just wish they would do a new one. Check out Allegiant (Vegas) and Sofi (LA).....
JTLive, great content keep it up bro
Thanks my man. Love from France

Is 53,000 enough. I’d like to think they’ll be scoop to get extra 5,000 or so if all goes well. It has to be that cos of the 22,000 on waiting list
would leeds play at headlingley or something
Who are these “ realistic “ 10s we should’ve gone for? Buendia and , as it seems, Hamer were not available. There’s nobody really .

We need more than 53,000 capacity, not enough. Go bold and build 100,000.
It has to be at least 60K....end of
Not impressed with this new redevelopment idea by 49Ers. 53,000 capacity isn't enough.
how much do you want?
Hope you make a donation to the square ball..
Everyone are building new stadiums and our owner's redevelopment ideas is the wrong choice.

I would have started from scratch elsewhere Elland road is ancient and the surrounding area is a dump, you cant polish a turd.

No, not with Farke, coach will fail again. Farke needs to go now.
who would you replace him with?
It should be rebuild, instead of redevelopment. The stadium is outdated. You need to move on with a 21st century super stadium.
