I think that he lost because some runick effect required that he send a card to GY or vanished and he didn't have cards in the deck. So lost for that, haven't a card in Deck and required take one.
Because it's what Dark Dragoon should have been from the offset (and no the Official Custom card we've got and is banned in MD and OCG because of how broken it is)
