FYI, The Joylong Superlong is actually based on the Toyota Hiace. And based on what I heard, they're actually licensed from Toyota (along with other Chinese car brands that builds a Hiace look-a-like) as Toyota need to sell them through "joint-venture local companies" during this car was released. Mitsuoka actually does pretty sick cars which is only a few models but most of them are technically based on other Japanese cars mostly Toyota
Big thing about the Mistuoka Orochi, it is not built on an NSX, it's a custom chassis made by MIstuoka since the NSX was discontinued, the concept was only made on the NSX that had a Toyota V6 powering it, every production Orochi had a custom chassis with again a Toyota V6.
I remember on top gear when Jeremy talked about one of the armoured cars from Canada in a news segment, which claimed it could sustain 24 hours of gunfire or something.
Funny thing is, the UAZ 452 is still in production to this day. Yes, you can literally still buy a new one in their website. They are rugged and does what it needs to do, truly living the "If it ain't broke don't fix it" quote.
8:21 if you were wondering it looks like a loaf because the car nickname in Russia is "Bukhanka" which literally means loaf Btw the car is still in production for almost 70(!) years
I really love this channel already. Please keep making more fascinating videos like this!! These videos crack me up man, I had to pause the video at 0:57 as I needed to 'Pea' 😂 But they're also really interesting and informative with it.
The history of Swiss cars is actually pretty cool. There was a performance car company called Monteverdi which made some pretty rad cars that started after Enzo Ferrari pissed off the only Ferrari dealer in Switzerland. The African car industry is actually really interesting and deserving of its own video
You should've mentioned the Bricklin SV-1 for Canada (I believe it's considered a Canadian company, not American despite the founder being American). a Mid engine, gull wing door, safety focused, supercar. Very very odd.
Great video! Loved it!!! I think this might be your best video. This one was just on a whole another level entirely. It was too funny! I love the Orochi (genuinely). I think it was the only car I knew in this video, got to learn about so much more. Your videos are really nice! Not just entertaining but quite informative! The humor in this one was just next level and I loved the Japanese segment! Also, can't believe I was in the vid at the end 😭❤️ Love you torkyo, never stop making these videos! Hope you get big big soon
Switzerland has the most unique motorsport szene(single axle Tractors and buggies that vaguely share a couple of aspects with them) Two other noticable creations out of there are the Diavolino with is the smallest Jeep imaginable(it's road legal and all and based on a Italian micro Car with a lambretta scooter engine called Lawil) The engineering and prototypeing Company Horlacher has build some awesome Cars that somehow look both organic and have that 90s computer aestetic to them.
great video man i could swear u were from US because of the content, a lot good info of US car market in the previous episodes, but you really suprised me, i watch a lot of auto content but most of the cars i didn t know they exist or had exist
Haha thank you man! I keep up with the US markets a lot, they kinda set the precedent for other markets so its always good to know whats going on there haha
I've barely heard of Mitsuoka as a car brand, but that "supercar" and the Le Seyde has convinced me that Richard Hammond was right about Mr. Mitsuoka being on acid
This would had been the perfect video to mention the Michelin PLR, a car with 10 wheels and 2 engines made specifically for tire testing made sometime in the 70s.
The pictured Pyeonghwa Pronto is not made in DPRK. It's made in China and rebadged. The only North Korean built Pyeonghwa models are the Huiparam I (licensed Fiat Siena) and in very small amounts the Zunma I (licensed SsangYong Chairman), of which I uploaded the only photo on the internet to Wikipedia.
Switzerland, where i live btw, had a few car brands. Its been along time since they built the last car, but those were really cool. I dont remeber what they were called tho. Sadly Chrysler was such a big company that they stumped all the other small car manufacturers back then.
Argo car is not serial its made all by Maksim Nikolaevich by himself 1 of 1, and its functions as it needs to function, so that work is pretty impressive, including that fact that he wasn't a millionaire or anyone like this Its design is made just to be functional and not to impress anyone
If you think the Orochi is ugly, wait till you see Mitsuoka's other cars. There's the Viewt, which looks like a modern Fiat 500, except they slapped the front of a Jaguar Mark II. Or the Rock Star, which is a modern Corvette C2 looking-thing. Or the fucking M55: It's literally a Honda Civic, but with Dodge Challenger fixtures. Like, I've never seen cars with more clashing design choices before.

It looks like a deep sea creature it's strange but I kinda like it.
Also the brands other cars are fucking insane

Just so you know, vodka consumption in Russia is lower than in some European countries and the US. This is about stereotypes.
Fun fact: The UAZ is still in use in some militaries

I actually really like the Mitsuoka Orochi. Its a really quirky and unique sportscar. To me, its unusual styling only makes it more likeable.
I am angy if a certain lebanese car that is based on a french/russian "sports car" doesn't get mentioned.
6:31 headlights look like they are from a 2014-2018 Mazda 3
love they way you make these videos the editing, music, car selection and that Japanese was lit😭

would've looked much better if it wasnt for the stupid glitch that made me cut a part of the video im so upset about that honestly
