I was a tank since day one of playing TOF, even before Frigg's update. I was loved by many, recognised and honoured. I was my team's shield. I was team's hope. But then everything crumbles when Saki came. More players changed to Fortitude. I don't feel so special anymore, don't feel needed as much. Then it became worse when I didn't have enough luck to pull Saki to 3 star with an f2p status. I managed to get her to 2 star as I lost most of my 50/50. I can't hold aggro anymore. I'm bested, obsolete and forgotten. My shield shattered, my hope broken. With all these new Fortitude came to light, I sank deeper into the depths of the dark.
About the hold attack for Saki Tank: it has a block on it's own, different from the 3 blocks you gain when releasing Surge). This one don't have cooldown, have a slightly higher health threshold (20% health for this one VS 15% health for the 3 free blocks), but you need to release the hold attack at the same time as the red light (basically same timing as Phantasia). tl;dr: the hold attack of Saki Tank is a manual but spammable block if you want to tryhard.

To clarify Saki 6*. He misspoke. You don't gain 11% damage reduction. You gain 11% increased damage or upon triggering a block you reduce the frost damage dealt by the target to you by 25%.

Maybe I'm the only one that loves to do Saki's plunge attack and has Nemesis with her 4k trait on her team... And every time I use her discharge, in my mind, I say Starburst Stream 🤣🤣🤣
As a support, I'm actually interested to build the "paladin Saki" build (which is fortitude Saki with Coco as its third weapon). I saw someone did it, and it's pretty awesome. But it seems I need at least 3* Saki. Mine is 2* right now, but I want to save a bit for Lin. I'm actually a Volt main, so going hard for Saki was kinda a blunder of me lol. So no more gacha until Lin. I guess I'll stick with my standards support set for now lol
you do not need need saki 3* as a tank... at all. if you use meryl and saki discharge as soon as available on top of the passive charge with coco's 1* you should be able to keep the aggro all the time
You should, and try getting coco A3, i use coco(a3),saki(a1),meryl(a5). And I'm basically immortal, why a3 coco? She provides you with 20% more shatter,dmg,heals&iron body at A3 so yeah....
I kinda wish the A5 Phantasia only proc'd on Fortitude and there was a separate buff for ATK. It's pretty unfun to not be able to Phantasia anymore because the whales can do it off cooldown easily.
It was already like that, to be fair. Many phantasia-triggering boss moves only work if the one that dodges has aggro so if a whale has aggro and doesn't dodge there just wasn't any phantasias.
i know its recommended to get A1 saki, i went all out on frigg, but with the holidays i couldn't se my resources to get A1 saki and lin. Ill make it work if possible

But yes this setup still works until u get better characters, I would use ur standard stuff on saki instead not shiro because shiro is easily replaceable with something else

Tsubasa 2pcs, you need to be at least 4m away from the enemy, which is bad for melee char like Saki, It's much better to use Samir Shiro / Samir Crow, and grind if you dont have them yet. But, since you're fortitude main, as I said in the video, the matrices don't really matter as long as you can shatter
Im using a1 frigg, a1 saki and a6 ene. Not the ideal tank but i'm having fun with it the unli dash of ene and draw the aggro most of the time even with whales
You lost aggro cause your teammates' omnium shield is up... Most things that are static and deployable will steal aggro from boss until it disappears. Meryl discharge, shiro skill, omnium shield, pepper's skill.

False: The cooldown is of Flow so you have 0.8 seconds each cast, and each cast heals Frost Attack (plus all buffs and crits) * 0.45 * 0.57 = FAD * 0.2565. The 100% limit is so that you can't heal more than FA at any given time which would require you to deal 400% of your Frost Attack as damage. Unless you're trying to tell me that _everyone_ should be doing 400% of their Frost Attack every hit of Flow.
8:05 overall great video but i disagree with this statement. Just because you are tanking doesnt mean you shouldnt be trying to pump dmg imo. Every bit of dmg you dont do your team has to cover for you.

if you're still wondering, it's on the Silent Flow description, on the Skill tab, on the very bottom, it says "Shatter of surge increases by 100% with an added taunt effect"
Why do you recommend A3 saki for tank ? is it because of taunt aggro? for me am A1 saki and all raid bosses am always aggro the bosses. so what the main reason to get A3 saki ?
@@majinbuu6655 A0 Lin is comparable to A6 Tsubasa. But at A1, Lin is almost certainly better than A6 Tsubasa. So it depends on how many DCs do you have left, if it's enough to guarantee A1 Lin, you can go for her, otherwise just save for Alyss.
Bruuuu don't use frig in tank build with saki!!! especially if you have meryl in the team too. you get anti-CC from meryl shield and from saki shield. Saki every 5seconds can use her lmb hold attack to get shield, that if you keep using every 5 seconds, you can get knocked back. within these 5 seconds you should be rotating from other weapons using 1 skills/ discharges. this is the optimal way to keep taunting with her attack, holding your shield and doing damage. I've done a video explaing how to use her weapon but I might, at this point, make a video on how to tank overall in this game. Cus aparently no one does it properly. I have hold agro with basically no damage ezy with my build, against whales doing crazy damage. all because I keep rotating from saki taunt and other weapons for damage. get the 5seconds timing down and you'll always have agro. especially with Lan out now, agro is even easier. I've had people using Lan as tank but they are dps player, with damage stats. I was still able to hold agro against them, another tank, that does more damage than me BECAUSE I was rotating saki properly and timing perfectly with Lan.....

So I decided to go all out on her matrices and wait Lin rerun lmao.
Yes Surge only activates when using saki weapon. And flow activates after you use saki skill Edit: my bad, itcs Shadow Sword that activates when using saki skill. And flow are from saki atk res the one that heals every 0.8 second on every attack.works with different weapons
@@try2fly It doesn't. The heal is from the Shadow Blade, which is the one which flies out when attacking enemies. Surge is a slash which only happens when Saki's weapon is being used.

A5 is a grief in bygone cause u want to time bygon specifically when enemies are grouped up. Heck, it can be a grief for other modes too where certain attacks like apo spin are advised not to be phantasiad(i dont recommend this but most do). Its only good for whales because for them mechanics are irrelevant lol

I personally like to use it either as soon as possible if the boss isn't dangerous, as soon as a shield pop up so we can destroy it fast or after a move that is dangerous. And you are totally right apo spin should never be phantasia'd if possible especially if you have melee weapons (which most of us do)

Yes but unlike the skill you cant block all dmg for some reason.

You can use Huma and Coco w/ Saki A1 for tanking since Huma also has taunt mechanic which you can rotate if the Surge on your Saki is on CD.
exactly my team. also when your saki has cd on E huma can tank big hit (apo BOOM) with her hold shield
not to mention 6 star huma with 2 skills to reset saki faster

there's 0 reason to use meryl instead of pummeler when tanking, pummeler provides way more. My go to is shiro a3, saki a1, ene a6

The only reasons all the whales get aggro is because they use their pocket meryl to attack, and now saki, so tanks do lose aggro mostly due to that
