The worst client I had yet turned a 3 day job into a 3 week project. He didn't pay most people involved at all afterwards. I stopped working on the project when he wanted to force me to keep working during Christmas. The most annoying part was that I told him that for the low budget and the short deadline there are big limitations on what we can do, he said yes and I delivered the best I could after 3 days of day and night work. Then he just proceeded asking for changes every day, saying it would be the last round every day.

Ahhhh those people are the worst.
That's the reason why I try to avoid flat rates.
So every time they want changes.
The better pay for it.
Because then they'll think twice if they really need those changes

I just bailed out when I was dealing with a difficult client. Said he could keep all his money and use the music I made for him this far. Perhaps not the best way to deal with it from a business perspective, but I was afraid I would never accept another job if I would continue with this client.
These things truly harm your creativity and motivation if you go on for too long and with that, eventually also your business.
I think the "tax" you mention might work out, but perhaps only if you are already invested too much before you realize you are dealing with a very difficult client. I believe it's best to just walk away at no or a minimal loss before you get dragged in too far and that the only reason you continue is the money. At that point you are even more committed to give in to terrible behavior and since the client pays more, it will likely get even worse.

Although it's a parody being very clear an unreachable is amazing when you deal with clients. after theyve paid they need to wait. I always vet clients, i stay away from people who have less than 5 projects out. they tend to over step and want to be too involved to the point they slow down the process or workflow.

the dark edge around the footage is from your alpha , to fix this you set the alpha to premultiplied in blender image node
