2023 Flower Show Demonstration Series #6

On October 15, 2023, during the flower design presentation afternoon sessions at the Soho Study Group flower show in Orinda, Sensei Soho Sakai created ten Ikebana arrangements. Each arrangement focused on a different theme. These included Ikebana arrangements created with the themes such as celebration, color of the container, and shape of the container.

Amazing artistry yet! As a new florist in the industry, I'm far from this level, so I'm at the intermediate stage of this amazing culture. But my love for it, piques my curiosity for more knowledge of this craft! Didn't know this could expand it's branches, in this field in the most creative displays of artistry! This gets a WOWWW! So, my question would be why is the Artist, cutting stems in water?
