I definitely agree with you on Haunting Adeline. I usually LOVE unhinged dark romances, but I didn't buy that they were in love. I ended up DNFing book 2 bc I was getting so bored :( I wanted to love it so bad lol
I read The Ritual earlier this year, and while it kept me entertained, it was a bit much. I think I gave it 3 stars. I doubt I'll continue the series, especially after this video.
