- Parasitic Draw Test | Do This Before Replacing Your Battery!
Where is the power out of battery going?
Ready to do a parasitic draw test before replacing the battery? Well I’ll show you how to test your vehicle, if it is drawing current out of your battery and thus killing it over night. You will need a multimeter to perform a draw test. Feel free to use the affiliate links provided below. The vehicle I’m working on here, lost all it’s power over night and didn’t start in the morning after it was parked over night. So, watch the video to find out how you can make sure that your vehicle doesn’t just have a bad battery, but if your vehicle draws the power out of your battery. Ideally you want your current draw below 30 milliamps (0.03 amps). If you drive your vehicle daily, a little more might not hurt.

In this channel I will show how to repair your vehicle or other vehicles yourself. I will also show you, teach you some trick what to look for at certain jobs and try to explain the best I can, on why I do it the way I do it. You will see links of the most of the tools and the parts, at good quality and reasonable cost, that I am using in the description of every video (It may be not the exact tool or product, but that has the same function. So, it may be just a different brand). If any torque specs or other specs are mentioned in the video, they will also be found in the description. I am a self-employed mechanic myself, with a garage on my property. So here I am recording how I repair and trying to help you repair your customer vehicles and also how to fix your own vehicle and save a lot of dollars. So, every video is intended to be a great ‘Do It Yourself (DIY)’ tutorial to save money.

GoFundMe for what? gf.me/u/znhz36
Something very EXCITING!!! My shop is doubling in size. Maybe soon.
I've been sharing the building with the church that I'm a member of.
Thanks to God's grace this place has gotten to small and we decided to start a new project with our church.
We are building a new prayer house where we can praise our creator and everyone has room to listen to God's grace.
As a small congregation, projects like that are pretty much financially impossible.
So if you have the means to spiritually and financially support our project, you can do so by clicking the following GoFundMe link:

(Also please do not forget to share if you don't mind.)
There is also a greatly edited video of our churches history. (The second one will be English)
If you want to know what we preach, you can click the text on the GoFundMe page and will take you to our churches life stream.

Hi, I've watched several videos regarding parasitic draw and this answered questions that I didn't find elsewhere. I wasn't sure if once I had found the problem I could simply pull the offending fuse and leave it. Of course I wouldn't do that if it was something important, but if it turns out to be something I can live without (like a vanity mirror light) now I know that I can yank the fuse and not bother tracing it any further. And you were straight to the point. I'll watch this a few more times though, so I can understand what's going on with that spool of wires you used. I get the concept but I'll watch again so I'm sure to do it correctly. I see links for everything but that spool, so I'll watch again and let you know when I solve the problem. Thank you!
Thank you 🙏, if you have any questions feel free to ask.
If you've had some problems with your battery, feel free to share your story!
On the meters usually is a warning that says like 10A for Max 10 seconds.
So does that mean if my reading is less than 10A I can keep it connected?
Or I should disconnect the meter after 10 sec anyway.!?
I have never seen that before. But I guess, if you have close to a 10amp draw, you got since serious drain. I'm not quite sure what to tell you though.
God bless you.
