- A Romanian patriotic song from the communist era. During the fall of the Socialist Republic of Romania in 1989, protestors sung a modified version of this song that excluded all lyrics about Ceausescu and the Party, and it has since become associated with anti-communism.

Small correction: the song was written in 1979/1980 and the Ceaușescu lyrics weren't
part of the lyrics in the first place.

When the Red Army invaded Czechoslovakia in 1968, being lied to by the Soviet leadership about there being a counterrevolution, Romania was one of few communist countries (alongside Yugoslavia and Albania) and the only Warsaw Pact country which unequivocally condemned this primarily Soviet act of aggression. One of rare instances of Tito, Hoxha and Mao being cringe. There was a literal coup prepared, with establishment of "socialism with a human face" being used as a cover. It was basically perestroika but for czechs. And i wish my homeland, Russia, had someone to help resist the actual one.

but Czechoslovakia was actually undergoing a counter-revolution, all social benefits were abolished, the transition to a market economy took place and cooperation with NATO began. I am not a Russian, I am a Tatar, but I am very grateful to Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev for bringing Soviet troops into Czechoslovakia
This song is associated with many situations, I've seen it said that it was a song from the Kingdom of Romania in a movement against the Ottomans. I've also seen it said that it's from the Second World War, I just don't know which side it would be.
But what I see most people say is that it is an Anti-Communist song from the Post-War and Romanian Revolution of 1989 against Ceaușescu, now here is the Communist version which I am seeing for the first time.
It was written in 1982 by a Communist poet, and became an anti-communist song when the revolution happened because of its strong patriotic themes

Confunzi. Nu a fost un cantec socialist. Melodia a fost compusa de Nicu Alifantis si versurile de Adrian Paunescu in cadrul cenaclului Flacara. Cantecul a fost cantat la revolutie. Chiar in versurile melodiei se regaseste "hotii muncii", expresie destul de anticomunista. Intr-adevar versurile au fost scrise in 1982 dar melodia a fost modificata si a fost lansata in 2007 din cate am cautat.

"Hotii muncii" se refera la patronii care nu muncesc dar buzunaresc profiturile generate de muncitori.
Sa crezi ca asta e o melodie anti comunista este posibil doar daca nu ai nicio idee ce e ala comunism si daca nu stii sa interpretezi versuri.

@@GaelHernandez на самом деле, тут никаких тайн особо и нет. Даже на Википедии довольно неплохо его деятельность описана. Если интересно, почитайте про политику жёсткой экономии, про его деятельность против венгров, культ личности, расширение полномочий Секуритате, непотизм, ужасную демографическую политику. А что касается внешней политики, то, если я правильно помню, он не поддержал практически ни одной инициативы СССР и кроме того, пусть и неофициально, создал концепцию, в рамках которой страна претендовала на некоторые его территории, вроде бы, Молдавской ССР и Одесской области

This song was an anti Ceausescu song, and Is asosciated with the Revolutionary side of the Romanian revolution, which saw the end of the Ceausescu dictatorship, and while this was originally a pro Ceausescu song, the revolutionaries made a better version of it ngl,

@@ninyaninjabrifsanovichthes45 the song wasn't promoting ideas of capitalist restoration instead it showed that the state had been corrupted and didn't actually follow Socialism as it was meant to give democracy and freedom to the workers along with the workplaces being ran by the workers and not the state. In East Germany the majority were calling for Socialism to remain but that the SED had been corrupted and no longer represented the working class. When the wall came down that's when the idea of being one people and one Germany came into play.
