You probably heard this already Matt, but during filming of China O'Brien films, William Friedkin cast Rothrock in adaptation of The Executioner he was working on at the time with Stallone and Joel Silver. She was going to be Stallone's sidekick in the film, but apparently Friedkin hated the script they wanted to use, which was written by writers of Road House and Robocop and by Stallone himself, and he also had some problems with Stallone and Silver. So once Friedkin quit, the film was dropped as well by Carolco, who were going to produce it, probably as one of the ten films Sly was supposed to do for them (including Gale Force, Isobar, The Dam, Bartholomew Vs Neff, different versions of Rambo 4...) but never did due to their bankrupt. Too bad, just all these people behind it, i'm sure it would have been fun film to see.

Robert Clouse has directed some episodes of ‘The Master’, a TV series starring Lee Van Cleef, Tim Van Patten, and Sho Kosugi.

Btw, Demi Moore guest-starred in the episode one of ‘The Master’. I remember it was directed by Robert Clouse.

Fantastic review Matt I usually enjoy Cynthia Rothrock movies.
These films need a blu ray release, Cynthia Rothrock is bad ass & deserved bigger budget movies.
I highly recommend you watch Scott Adkins art of action series on you Tube he interviews Cynthia as a guest.

13:21 Yeah sadly bro that's a big issue with this and also the sequel which that's a big mistake on the writer/director part.
15:38 Funny enough he's actually one of the random bad guys who Richard Norton fights in the sequel LOL.
I always enjoyed this film more then the sequel and yes more then the 2004 remake of "Walking Tall" IMHO. Great job on the review I believe both this film and the sequel was made at the same time there's a episode of the Art of Action in which Cynthia Rothrock explains the whole thing how that happened also Cynthia did her own podcast on her youtube channel in which she had Richard Norton as a guest they had some more stories to share about making both these films bro.
