It is so lovely to see you back, I've missed watching your podcast! Up until the last episode, I was also going through your entire backlog so always had some fibertales to watch, so it was suddenly a long time for me.
You are so kind for sharing these gifts (and in the first place for sharing your great inspiration and designs with us)!
I have been wanting to get into natural dyeing a little bit, but I've not dipped my toes in yet because I feel like I don't really know where to start. I think this beautiful book would be the perfect resource to give me the little push I need. I think my main motivation to want to learn about dyeing yarn, is I've had this one thing on my 'bucket list' for probably half my life (and there's never been anything else on my bucket list) which is to be able to make myself a sweater where I do the entire process: shear the sheep, clean the fleece, card it, spin it, dye it, and then knit it into said sweater. So I have a lot to learn about dyeing in order to make something beautiful out of this project.

I’m retired from self -employed business ,, and my accounted told me the revenues are higher when you regularly take some days off . I used to not take days off at first ,but I learned that it was counterproductive as I was becoming tired ,less dynamic ,so less productive. But above all ; less happy ! So I took my accountant advise and went on Congresses trips , Weekend away , or vacations more often as he was exactly right financially speaking ,but the most important was the fact that this made my days so much happier as I was motivated most of the time .
When you are your own boss , you must be good to yourself as you would do with one of your employe. Thank you for sharing this shinning sparkle in your eyes and other things ....Take care 💕🧶🥰☕️🌈

Thank you for another lovely podcast that I have enjoyed while sitting at my loom on a rainy Sunday. The book sounds fascinating, I have a number of natural dye books in my fibre library, one day I hope to weave with yarn that I’ve dyed from locally foraged plants … my retirement goals!

What a wonderful treat, to see that you have this video out! I have missed your episodes, and have been hoping you would be back soon! You share your experiences with yarn and design so clearly and thoughtfully, and that makes me feel almost like I'm getting to just sit and have a conversation. I love your gro socks, especially in that beautiful deep reddish color! Your textured yoke is beautiful too. I do not live where I can grow plants for dying, but I do love learning about nature's generosity with color and materials. I will be looking forward to seeing you soon!

Your podcasts are always so inspiring Laerke, thank you ❤ I had a nice and cosy knitting evening watching this episode.
The book giveaway is such a beautiful gift ! A dear friend of mine has a small organic farm with 4 sheeps (and lambs from this spring 🥰). He gave me the fleece as he didn't want it to go to waste. I started the process of hand spinning the wool. This book would help me go further in the process and hand dye this special yarn with plants I can collect in nature. My plan is to knit a blanket for his baby coming up in May. A colorwork made with love would be lovely ! 😇

I would use the book for colour inspiration. I just love exploring colour combinations, and I find that diving deep into particular colours has a huge impact on my mood. So I have some special reference books that I like to look at whenever I feel the need for more colour in my life. This book would join that special collection.
Your trip to G-uld sounded so much fun! Oh to go on a roadtrip with a friend and find such yarny goodness at our destination point!

It is great seeing you again Laerke! I have been following you for a while now and I really enjoy your videos, I find them really soothing to watch and listen to (even when you talk fast). I have decided that I want to start knitting with more texture and your designs are great for that.
Last year I taught myself to spin yarns and this summer I started experimenting with dyeing yarn. So far I have mostly used food colourings to dye with, and now I want to start experimenting with plants and dried herbs. I have even dyed part of a sheeps fleece to see how the colour will turn out after combing and spinning the wool.

Dear Laerke , thank you for another amazing episode! Always so soothing and natural! I love all of your designs ;) I dabbled a bit with natural dyes when I was in my early 20s, which was a lot of fun,... cooking up in my grandma's "Waschkueche" on a wood stove!
Now that I'm in my 50s (!!) I'd love to give it a go again and that beautiful book would be amazing to get into it again!

What a lovely episode again. It gave me the opportunity to lower my stress level after a busy morning with the kids and get inspirated again.
Your trip reminds me of the Artist Dates that Julia Cameron recommends in her book The Artist’s Way. She also tells that if you don’t allow yourself some time off and have a date with yourself that it isn’t possible to get creative and inspired again. Thanks for sharing about your trip!
I would really love to win the book. We have a huge garden with all sorts of plants in there. I am sure that I could die yarn with some of those plants but I have absolutely no clue how to. The book would be a nice way to give that a go.

I love the intimate and cozy atmosphere you create with your videos and I am looking forward to that sweater design. It looks very promising.
I started learning how to spin my own yarn this year and it made me fall in love with more rustic wools. It is great to experience that there is much more variety than merino and alpaca. I would love to learn more about dyeing next year. I know I have some plants in my garden that can be used for dyeing like elderbushes and golden rod, so winning that book and read it over the winter would be a good foundation to get me started next spring.

Thanks for sharing. I love your natural ascetic. I would love a copy of the natural dye book, I have be fascinated by natural dyes for years, mainly lichens and fungus I collect in the woods. I am just starting to grow some dye plants, I just transplanted some madder, and have weld also.i live in British Columbia, Canada on a small island, and find it interesting how universal the mushrooms 🍄 and lichens are around the world. So much fun🙂, I am going to look at your designs on Ravelry now. I also spin wool from our island and have two angora bunnies 🐰,and I comb and blend into our local Romney and Romney cross fleeces I have access to.Good luck figuring out the back of your sweater😜

I thought the fix you had looked good, but I can understand needing it to be just exactly right. Cozy knitting time is upon us! Thank you for another lovely episode! I agree with you that it is important to take time to just be in order to nurture creativity and inspiration. I enjoy naturally dyeing alot, actually have a bath on the go with Alkanna tinctoria right now. Hoping to get a dark purple. I would use the book to learn more about what plants to use and how. Living in Sweden the flora is similar to Denmarks so I think I will be able to find the different plants. Hope you have a nice and cozy autumn and thank you again for this podcast.

Lovely podcast. I like the way you carry motifs through more than one pattern, beautiful textures and shapes.
The book looks beautiful. I am just getting into plant dyes and love learning which plants to use 💚

I had an eye on this book since I heard it will be released in English. In the last two years I did a lot of natural dyeing experiments with nettles, madder, walnut or birch bark. I love what colors nature creates and definitivly want to learn more about natural dyeing.

I have always wanted to learn how to dye yarn. I have been knitting and crocheting since I was a small child, making my own designs since I was in early adulthood, and think it would be so amazing if I could dye my own yarn. Dying naturally would be fantastic to learn!

Just sitting here knitting some socks (I always use sock yarn wih nylon too) with my recent experiment in hand-dyed wool. I am just starting to explore, but I love natural dye colors. The kind of muted tones are just so soothing and stunning. I would love to read more about that so I could start experimenting with natural dying rather than acid dying! Have a wonderful day!

What a pleasure see you again! Love that new yoke in your new pattern and I will wait patienly until we can enjoy in Raverly. Finally I tried to dye natural yarn just this summer picking some summer leaves in the forest and reusing some bouquet of wild flowers I picked too. I was lucky to buy two pair of kilos of wool fromsheep called Xisqueta in our Spanish Pirinees mountain. It’ s a local sheep , some rustic but very warm to protect from cold weather in the mountains.

Enjoyed your podcast, as always! The more I knit, the more I want to know about different wools, how they behave in knitted garments, how they take dye, plants used in the process. I think the book would be very interesting for all of this information.

Beautiful knits and yarn. I am a primary school teacher, and so I would use the book for doing some natural dyeing with my students. I have been saving a number of natural items (e.g. onion skins, avacado skins and pits) for awhile with the intention of doing this, and will use this book as inspiration for plants to choose for my garden next year for future dyeing. Thank you also for the discount. I know I want to make your Humlebi shawl (I love bees!), so I will have a look at your other designs as well and try to make a choice.
