While im a canon-freak and usually dont like how gacha-users portray undertale AU's, i appriecate the fact nightmare didnt take anyones shit and did his usual ''forceful show of authority when disrespected'' as i like to call it, you also got the core of their personalities right and they werent too slice-of-life silly as most gacha-vids portray them as ( not going to go on a rant about how they would all attempt to isolate themselves/harm/manipulate/kill them if they suddenly got teleported there, cause what fun would the video be if it was just 6 minutes of the sanses bullying the afton family?) All-around enjoyable video, plus i really like nightmares design!

Nightmare does not feed on fear but negativity, which 99% of afton family aus provide alot of, thats all he really wants, he could just stay in an afton family au doing nothing and hed get the amount of negativity he would get from torturing a bunch of people (assuming your au/ characters follow at the bare minimum the amount of negativity the original afton family provides, and not some happy go lucky au where everything goes a-okay) while nightmare would definitely be surprised and annoyed at your william showing no fear of canon nightmare and his forceful show of authority, hell, maybe even the smallest bit impressed (which he wouldnt show of course) the last thing canon nightmare would show is fear, two scenarios would play out
A: nightmare would constantly threaten your william, be a prick and remind/shape shift into traumatic events in his life before all-around resorting to torture just like at the start of the dream-cross fight ( he hates killing people, torturing is his main thing, gets him the negativity), whetever he would fail or not i cannot say, dunno how op your william is, but unless your william is some sort of dream 2.0 (thats 1000 times more capable with positivity than actual dream) or some sort of universe-erasing god thats capable of destroying thousands of universes daily, he most definitely wouldnt be able to kill nightmare, if hurt him at all
B: he simply gets annoyed and leaves, but definitely comes back every once in a while, the negativity is just too good
Of course, im talking about canon nightmare here, not sure what you portray nightmare as, but canon nightmare wouldnt show fear, just annoyance really
