Remember the Scottish government received around 48% of the constituency vote so the government is more legitimate than the UK government which received a mere 43% of the vote yet a whopping parliamentary majority. The SNP is required to work with the Greens in order to pass legislation, so this idea of a one-party state is a misrepresentation of the electoral democracy that exists in Scotland perpetrated by Unionists who are blind to the UK's clear democratic deficit as it benefits their elite.

Someone with the same salary as me, working in the same Company and with the same job title takes home £ 250 per month more, because I live in Scotland and are subject to the the SNPs ridiculous taxation. The cables are Italian or come from the Middle East and the turbines are ,ade in Germany. The SNP policies are wonderful for providing jobs for foreigners and massive profits for SSE shareholders - but we do get to pay huge amounts for something we do not benefit from - I’ll give you that!

The Scottish parliament is not a sovereign body, it's a devolved administration. I think the UK Parliament needs to reform it, to create some checks and balances.

Misunderstanding re your comment jimbo ! NHS Lothian was responsible for the original design, implementation of the design and award to ISHL as contractors. NHS signed off on the contract on completion of works. Jean Freeman, then Health Minister, haulted the opening due to concerns raised re the design and construction. At this point, the Scottish Govt had a duty to find out what when wrong thus an inquiry was established. If fault lies anywhere, it is not with the Scottish Govt but NHS Lothian. The inquiry will also include problems at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. The contractor was also ISHL.

Should it not be self evident? I believe Scotland is a peculiar people and a nation in their own right and should rule themselves not shackled to Westminster.

No one wants to confront the real issue, which is that the British government is fundamentally weak and doesn't believe in itself or the country, and that's what always brings on independence movements.
We'll never have real leadership until this changes. An actually strong country would have never allowed the establishment of the devolved national governments, or an independence referendum.
