What would happen if you tracked every minute of your life? Realistically, most people would shoot that idea down for being a little over the top. But don't worry, I decided to take on this challenge for 7 days... So you don't have too :P
The goal was to understand where my time goes, how to best manage my time, and most importantly have more free time. I'm not trying to work all the time... yaaa know?
This video was inspired by Nathaniel Drew, he's my favorite youtuber right now:

Nice video man! Would have loved to see more of what you gleaned about your time throughoutnyour afternoon and evening, and what changes you planned to implement in terms of cutting out the unnecessary. This felt a little focused on your morning routine, which is such a small part of the time you tracked. Interesting concept though!

Youre constantly reaching for self improvement by looking at yourself and working on yourself. Its inspiring. Ive downloaded Toggl app but have only used it for doing paperwork, which I spend way too much time doing. Thats as far as Ive gotten so far.

Yeah I think the best way for me to talk about self improvement is by sharing my personal experience!

Life is too short to track every single minute.
However I do like to track my minutes at work and for about 3 hours on my weekend. 8 hours of my day is at work so I choose times to use the bathroom, stretch so on..
My weekends are open so the first 2 hours I plan that out and then the last hour of the night..(still can't wake up early to save my life 😂)
Anyways! You are so busy about bettering yourself and finding better use for your time why not do a video where you do a whole two days living spontaneously and jot down how it makes you feel and the effects of it all? I find that always doing a scheduled day can make my anxiety go haywire if I miss a time mark, constantly lookin ahead to the next task instead of focusing on the now makes it worse as well...
Everyone lives a routined life and its fun to break it sometimes..you feel freeee

Haha now that’s not a bad idea! I will say that I won’t be tracking every minute of my life again. But it helped me learn about my daily actions!

So you were asking what should be your next challenge, let's see you try not to laugh challenge and if you can't hold it in, it's okay. This is one of the challenges I'd like to see you do in one of your videos perhaps if this interests you.

  • @TheHillDragon
    @TheHillDragon 5 років тому

what would happen if you did everything wrong for a week?
    slept in
    didn't exersize / eat right / meditate / journal
go to a concert on a work night
just got up and went to a ball game or movie on a whim
would you be able to tell which things were negatively effecting your life? which were positives?

Time is one of my favourite topics! It's the only valuable thing!! But I do believe that clock is the worst invention! And I just noticed you too are left-handed, which reminded me a long lost memory! When I was a kid, I used to make fun of the fact that everything is constructed "the wrong way". I remember saying things like "pfff right-handed people built everything wrong, except for the clock! The clock is the only thing that turns the right way!" 😂

@@CuriosityCulture you just reminded me Abraham Twerskis' speech about love. If you're able to tell the difference between loving time and loving yourself/what time has to offer, then you're on a good path! And another thing. Consistency is the key to many things! Repeating things until you don't need to think about doing them! :)
