I really don't like how Wells was killed off. I feel like there could have been so much character development for him. He was my favorite character in season 1 and I miss him so much.
I liked him because of how much of a quiet badass he was. Wells was the kind of person to take all of the burdens on his shoulders. He was the only one who dug graves for the two kids killed in the drop. He kicked Murphy’s ass and he protected Abby. He could’ve had so much emotional growth learning how to share that burden but we never got the chance to see it
Nobody understand how much I loved him. He was one of my absolute favorites from the very beginning to the very end despite him leaving too early. He was such an amazing character and he could’ve had such an amazing life in this journey. He should’ve been there to see everything. It upsets me he was killed off this early AND that in later episodes Clarke didn’t even seem to remember him. Like with Josephine I get that Monty was there but it upset me that Wells didn’t show up.
I would have loved it if they brought him back for a guest appearance more than the 1 he did in season 2 and the extremely brief flashback in season 4, perhaps when [SPOILER ALERT] Thelonius died in season 5 - kinda like how LOST used Christian Shepherd, or perhaps a better example, Ethan Rom making a guest appearance once or twice per season because the great thing about that was it was so immediately grasping and clear who it was and who you were dealing with the second they come on screen. I think Wells's death was actually very important to the development of the characters in the first season. While on the surface they were probably trying to have their dig at being Game Of Thrones or LOST or thereabouts with an unexpected death, and because of that, turned a lot of viewers (myself included initially). Wells' death almost symbolizes the innocence fading from the group, because he was the only one who wasnt a delinquent at the time, and seemingly the only sensible and wise person of the 100 (or by then 98), the only one who we could really point to and think maybe there is light here. This is dramatically revealed when Murphy, while at this point is a complete cunt, gets beaten, floated, banished and later tortured by the grounders for something he didn't do. Clarke being Liberal minded, wanting to reason with the punishment of Murphy, wanting justice but also truth and the protecting of weaker individuals, IE, Charlotte (which is a very liberal urge) contrasted with the conservative views of the group who, like the grounders, think blood must have blood. But as Murphy said "Plenty of people hated Wells - His father was the chancellor that locked us all up", so had they not known who the killer was I dont think they would've cared, they just looked for an opportunity to be savages (that and he was fairly hated at the time obviously), and at the end of the day, everyone looks for that permission or reason to kick off at something, be it physically or verbally. TL;DR - I actually loved Wells's death for the overall growth of the show (he was my favourite season 1 character along with Anya) and is a parallel to many real world situations of similar things and has been for ages!
clarke and wells interactions were so realistic, so sad he is was gone so soon...

😔🖤
The actor of Wells wanted to quit so they killed him off early🥺
There was beef on set of the 100 with him, and the main star.
But at least he got a recurring role on #Riverdale
