- Located in Mobile Alabama right on the bay, The USS Alabama battleship memorial park is a fascinating place to visit.
In the video, I’m going to do a full walk through of the park and show you what all you can see if you decide to come and visit.

This brings so many memories of my days at college in Mobile. One of my “acclimation” trips- I was from the western mountains- and newfound friends took me everywhere. The boat was there as well as the great battleship. Plans for everything you see here were in place, but only the vessels appeared dockside. It is awesome to see great dreams and then, fifty years later, the fruition.
Mobile is still the best kept secret of the Gulf coast and of the south and I really miss it. Dauphin Island and the bay are not to be missed.
Great Place, been there a few times ! I highly Recommend it !
I can thoroughly recommend this historic sight.
I have been wondered about inside the sub until I see this video. It’s a lot smaller than I thought. Love the background music. Thank you so much for posting!
Very nice video. The museum and various displays offers a lot more variety than I'd have expected.
Thanks! There was so much to see the video doesn’t do it justice. Definitely a great stop when driving through Mobile.
This video makes me so happy because I can re-live the tour my dad took me on as a kid. ❤
Thank you for showing me what my son and I can expect when we get there next week. Traveling 700 miles by road to get there, but we can't wait. It looks amazing.
It is amazing went on a field trip in 3rd grade
Beautiful place for make memories with my kids ❤ thank you!! We went on January 2024😊
I hope you explained to those beautiful children that the Alabama was part of the effort to liberate their ancestors from Japanese occupation! I'm definitely going to visit this place and explain the same to my own children.
Thank you for sharing the video. I’ve wanted to go for a long time. If you get the chance you should check out Patriots Point in Charleston SC .
I went on a school trip back in 1999 when I was 9 in 3rd grade vary great experiment
I can also recommend Pensacola navy air station.
Very interesting!
I didn't know they had a B-52D Stratofortress on display there, my late father who passed awa last year was a B-52D Stratofortress tailgunner during the last 2 years of the Vietnam War in Operation Linebacker II.
Wow! There was a pretty large Vietnam War display inside as well that you would find interesting.
We are headed there today! Thanks!
2:55 love that F-8 Crusader. What a fantastic place. TY !
great video. two friends of mine and I went down there last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. especially me, being an old navy vet, and a history buff.
We love it! Thanks for watching and thank you for your service.
Really nice video. Thank you.
I was around 22 years old first place I moved to out of my parents house lived n mobile 2 years went to bishop state college while working in Daphne at the Express Lub I was having some issues with my lower stomach for about a month one of my closest friends was in the military at the time on leave came to visit I was lets go check out the U.S.S Alabama I had Ben there so many times we went and that’s when all my problems with my stomach showed I was at the front of the ship when I got this terrible pain and I heard a pop later and luckily I didn’t die from my Appendix Rupturing I didn’t know anything about that stuff back then thought it was a stomach flu 3 days later some friends of mine found me in the bathroom passed out to me to the hospital and well I’m 51 now every time I see a pic of the ship or a story I can remember that day I always look at the front of the ship and remember the exact spot I was standing
They did not have that much there when I visited in 2004. It still was very awesome to see what they had on display there. But when I visited they had a captured Iraqi T-55 tank that was pretty cool to see.
It's still there to my knowledge
I went there 3 1/2 years ago
The last time I was there was back in 2010 for Boy Scouts. We stayed overnight there.
My ship :)
The price is a good price cause sure they use the money to keep the ship looking nice and to pay the tour guide and others who work there
LORDwills I would love to see it
Do they accept walk-in visitors? Or need to purchase a ticket online?
Walk ins are welcomed
love battleships and im going here in 2 weeks
Hope you enjoyed. I'm taking a road trip in a week from Miami, Florida all the way to Mobile, Alabama just to see this place in person and so that my son can see it and get an appreciation for history.
I was JEST THARE
Do they let you film there with camera? Or do you have to have permission?
I was able to take pictures but that was back in 1999
Cameras are permitted no extra permission needed
Background music is bad.
