Man, does this bring back great memories. Tazmanian Devils; Nice! How did they not make it big time ??? Saw and Danced to their music dozens and dozens of time at Sleeping Lady Cafe, Fairfax. Would love their first album on CD (have it on Vinyl somewhere). I actually have some great B&Ws from a show they did at Marin Civic Center; would have to look hard for those, but I know I have them.
Loved this whole record. I'm from the Cleveland, Ohio area. Heard about them way over here. I got my hands on the LP and it got played a lot. A real lot.
I received a copy of this album as a promotional give away in 1980 in Syracuse, NY. Wore it our completely, then also a copy I had recorded on cassette years later. I was able to get ahold of Duane and he sent me copies, but I'm sad to say that the original doesn't play. I would also love to hear "Music" and "West Coast" again if anyone has them...thanks!
The man on the bottom right with the black vest and arms crossed he was my math and Rock Band teacher. He was the one to took me in when I was trying to become a singer. He is a really nice person.
Lol when I was a 17 I I saw them in Arcata California wwith the Head liner Gregh Kihn and I was madly in love with your math teacher hilarious now I am 52 and ironically seems like yesterday wow technology wow's me!
It's a crying shame that the original Tasmanian Devils (with David McKay on base) isn't available for people to hear. They still managed a record deal after David left, but the vibe and the magic of the music went away. You would have to have been there to believe me I guess.
I used to have this album, would love to hear "West Coast" again. The band was great live at "The Inn of the Beginning" in Cotati. Good pizza there too.
The band said you were there in spirit, if not in person. It was a helluva show with about 10 of us ancient fans from the 80's and the rest being newbies experiencing the fun energy of "Taz"'
Saw them at the embarcadero 1981
Love it. You can actulally understand the words.
My favorite band in the 80's. So fun to see live..great memories of growing up in Marin.
LOVED SEEING YOU GUYS AT THE SLEEPING LADY CAFE IN FAIRFAX,CA. IN OR AROUND 1983... YOUR MUSIC STILL BRINGS ME JOY!!

Actually we started in 1977 but we we best known in the 1980's from 1980 to 1985. We got our album deal in 1982. Pat Craig - Keyboardist

Can I get your email
I would really appreciate if someone who owns this album would post the last cut on side two, "Music." It's a very cool funk groove.
One of the guitarists is my guitar teacher, it is pretty funny how small this world can be
Their guitarist was my guitar teacher!
Wha? How did I run into you in the comments!
hey Pat hows your brother Bill doing?
