Some nerd facts
All crashes (from S1-5 aka the ones you just saw) are fully based off real train crashes, at least most of them
For Percy driving into the water with coaches, that also happened in real life, a train can’t stop in one second, especially if the rails are wet or icy…Plus these stories are taking place from the 1920s-…When the hell does S5 take place I got no clue since that was the full start of the show leading away from the books they were based on
Also…That moment where that little blue train (Sir Handel) nearly fell off the cliff…ya that also actually happened
If you’re interested, I recommend you look for the S5 rushes. Crashes like Gordon going through the wall, and Thomas through the barn took several different shots! The team was very dedicated despite all the problems and limitations with these plastic models

Funny how he tells them to stop even if the time it takes for a steam train to fully stop, is about 25 sceonds and probably more. Meanwhile the engines have like, 4 seconds before they stop.
