Idk. Dude is supposed to be 20 at the time of (spoiler). Idk how old the actor is but the way he looks in the show he could've passed for my dad. Guess that's fine for medieval times, people probably looked haggard, but when the actors around him don't look like that idk...
The acting is fine though. Show has so far been much better than expected. If HBO goes back and either redo the entirity of GoT or at a bare minimum S7-8 that would save the universe for me.

How so? For which character?
They both grew up idealistic or just inspired by their surroundings, like Eren with the Scouts or Aemond with Dragons.
And over time, their experiences made their mindset shift into what they are now. It's terrible it happened, and under better circumstances they may have lived up to better heights than most.
Bit instead, Aemond gets bullied and loses his eye after getting jumped, then gets basically told off/neglected by his OWN father after the matter. Eren sees the truth behind the Titans and the world across the sea with how the Cycle of Hatred has endured, and it leads to large amounts of loss. Innocents on all sides die, and these 2 will follow them in their turbulent worlds

I'm essentially Team Green because I love Aemond. Both sides and both Rulers (Aegon 2 and Rhaeynera) are terrible rulers who should never sit on a throne. Both sides also have a legit claim to the throne. Rhaeynera through her father making her his heir and Aegon through literally 10,000 years of tradition and customs and a order of succession that was literally just reinforced to Put viserys on the throne in the first place.

He's like an upgrade of Daemon. It's no coincidence that the actors resemble each other. They are each other's nemesis.

He definitely has that similar vibe but I wouldn’t necessarily compare him to Euron in either portrayal. Euron is supposed to be throughly amoral, only concerned with himself to the absolute max and being an utter bastard to literally everyone while doing so. Killing and raping his own kin, sacrificing babies to dark Gods, pillaging to his hearts content etc. Aemond actually has a code I’d argue, he has his own wants but had he been born to the Black faction he’d be just as loyal and dutiful to them. He definitely has an edge to his personality, but he’s no wanton psycho. He cares for his sister at least, mourned his father and actually regretted killing Luke Velaryon.

Im just confused how much he is grown compared to others like Aegon and Rhaynera’s kids. He s a grown ass man and a great fighter for his age
Some kids do just grow like weeds and mature physically faster than even their full-blooded siblings, however I think the showrunners might be trying to link it with him being bonded with the largest dragon in the world. They mention on some behind the scenes thing (I think for the episode where he claimed Vhagar) that from the moment he claimed her, he changed. They were mostly talking about his personality/emotionality but I wouldn't be surprised if they were purposely implying a physical component to it as well.
That's why he has grown so much, because he became a great fighter. That's how it is explained in the book and that's how they casted the actors. After having his eye taken out, Aemond started training the most and the hardest of all the kids. Due to his difficult training, he grew up stronger and bigger than the rest, so he looked older.
Jace is the same age as Daeron...the youngest of Alicent's kid. He isn't on the show yet. But Aemond and Aegon were at least 20.

And he's supposed to be only 16 years old. So he and Jace are the same age. Which in the book, he's actually 19 when all the shit goes down, and his younger brother Daeron is 16. So I am expecting Daeron to be aged down to 12-14 when he shows up in season 2.

Aemond has had a great Character Arc so far. I haven't read the books but I know enough of the Lore to know how his character developed both in them as well as the show.
And I have to say, he's certainly been interesting in light of how he's been (mis)/understood by the fans. Personally, so far I don't see his all actions as evil quite yet, certainly not as dark mannered as Daemon has proven to be. Later on, things will change for sure, but for now.... he's not a villain, at least not as much as Daemon.
yeah that's how i see it too, Daemon is a murderous little bastard that slap away is brothers hand whenever he extended it till he got older realize how much time he wasted being hateful and petty. Aemond seem to be someone that crave respect and willing to die for it.

Exactly. Looks like many fans of the show really fail to understand his character. He is not the villain. He is not even evil so far. He feels anger and rage for a good reason. He is no more evil than Luke. Luke bullied and took his eye, and Aemond wanted to make him feel the way Luke made him feel, so he bullied him back, so up until now, so how come is is the villain and Luke the innocent one? Aemond didn't even want to kill him. It will be interesting to see how these events shape him to become more and more cruel in the future. I hope they write him as well as they did so far. And for really, Aemond and Daemon are totally different.

Daemon is way more evil. He murdered his wife in cold blood, molested his niece, and mocked and celebrated the deaths of his brothers wife and infant son. He has no redeeming qualities. The Greens are far more sympathetic.

In the books, aemond is younger but taller
So was he 13 in episode 7? I thought he was 11. The ages are impossible to keep track of for the majority of the characters. At this point I'm giving up.
16 years old. Alicent was pregnant with Helena in episode 4, and Aemond only appears after the time skip...which means he was 10 years old when he lost an eye, and 16 years old now.

Aemond is my favorite of the Greens. Plus the show presents characters with disabilities in a way that is empowering and not condescending at all. He may have lost an eye, but he gained a Dragon. The Dragon was him all along.

Aemond isn't a villain though? Because he angrily threatened to feed Baela, Rhaena, Jacaerys, and Lucerys to Vhagar after all four of them viciously attacked him just because he claimed Vhagar who never even belonged to either of the twins to begin with? What was he supposed to do whenever they came at him, eventually knocking him to the ground before proceeding to gang up? Was he supposed to just stay there and accept it? Tf? That entire incident was caused by Baela and Rhaena. They're entirely at fault for everything that occurred. Aemond wouldn't have literally fed his nephews and cousins to Vhagar. He was just an upset kid trying to defend himself which he had every right and reason to do...And Lucerys had no business bringing in actual weapons, let alone using one! Aemond was the sole victim of that entire ordeal and if you failed to comprehend that fact, then there is something seriously off with your brain's functionality...And I'd be bitter too if I lost an eye just because four spoiled, entitled brats had a hissy fit over something they had zero control over.
I'm team Black 100% but I'm so tired of seeing people label this character as being villainous. You've obviously missed the gist and haven't been paying much attention to the way that GRRM creates his characters. None of them are strictly villainous or heroic. They remain in the grey...
And that clusterf*ck of Dumb and Dumber doesn't count so don't even attempt to mention characters in S7-S8.

Despite his poor health he went out to watch his sons & grandsons train in the yard, he's shown no disrespect to Alicent (getting her name wrong wasn't intentional), etc. What the greens seem to be ignoring is that it's entirely possible for Viserys to love his second wife & his children by her... and still name Rhaenyra as his heir. And no, by tradition the king gets to choose his heir- that's what Jaeherys did when he allowed the council to pick for him. By laws and tradition Rhaenys should have been Queen but instead the precedent that the king gets to choose was found to supersede that.

As to whether he likes them? In Aegon's case at least, what's to like? That doesn't mean he doesn't love them. I don't think Viserys liked Daemon either but he certainly loved him. And still whining about Aemond's eye? What did you expect Viserys to do- maim his own grandson for it? Both sides were asking for stupid things- Alicent for Viserys to maim one of his grandsons and Rhaenyra for Viserys to torture one of his sons. Viserys did neither because both requests were dumb & over the top & because he loves both sides of his family. And just for the record- I don't particularly like Viserys. Aemma's death still pisses me off, as does Daemon being allowed to get away with murdering his first wife. But I can still understand both the good & bad things he does. Not to mention it might be hard for him to pay a ton of attention to his kids during that 6 year time gap given that Alicent & Otto were drugging him to keep him complacent, so they're partly to blame for any neglect that might have occurred towards the latter years of his reign.

If they follow the book later on, we will see Aegon is a skilled swordfighter as well. He and Aemond fight side by side in many battles.
