French naval landings on Văn Lý Hải Hậu in 1951-1952

In 1952, the French army landed at Văn Lý by sea with the aim of capturing the gateway to the Red River Delta and building a puppet regime in the Catholic region. The French had reinforced the base with two battalions of infantry and weapons.
The people of Hải Hậu fought back against the French, defeating their campaigns such as Ăngtraxit, Bretagne, Tarang-taise, and their victories at Khâm, Cầu đôi, Xương Điền, Văn Lý, which will go down in history.
