So Patch 1.3 for F1 24 changed not just the handling, but the gear ratios as well, subtly changing how gear shifts sound. Another comparison is coming. EDIT: So upon closer inspection, the sound changes from Patch 1.3 are much more minor that I first thought. As such, a new comparison is not really needed.
@@natecondy4125 Yeah but like they only rev to 12,000 in f1 24, in which 12,000 rpm from last time I checked does not sound like it does in f1 24. It sounds like it revs way too high.
I'll be honest, the 2018-20-22-23 generation were my favorites. And currently 24 has also become one of my favorites because of the Mercedes and Renault engine.
My thoughts exactly. A lot of the 2020 ferrari onboards I found at the time I remade the video file were not great. The second half of the 2020 IRL sound is taken from an Alfa Romeo onboard. The 2016 IRL is taken from the Haas.

Renault downshifts in F1 2020 are so brutal i love them
F1 2018 is the best.
2016 too
The engines in the new game rev way too high. The sounds are way too high pitched.
Actually they have a rev limit of 15,000 rpm not 13-14 thousand
@@natecondy4125 yes they have a limit of 15,000 rpm but teams lower it to about 12,000 rpm for fuel, and reliability purposes

F1 23 everyone sounded like Mercedes (except Renault, it sounded like Yamaha) but in F1 24 NOBODY sounds like Mercedes, LMAO.
I didn't know Yamaha made F1 hybrid engines
@@still_guns I mean even the 2014 engine sounds may be terrible, but at least they tried to sound like IRL, unlike in F1 23.
My favorites sounds of the ignirion to Ferrari is a 2014 to 2017 and 2023!
The best F1 videogames until now are F1 2019 and F1 2020
F1 24 might have some of the worst sound design I've ever heard in a racing game
i think its alright
It far from alright. Listen to a live race and youll see how unrealistic it is
The odd board is realistic though
The upshifts on the Ferrari are unfathomably bad
I agree

F1 22 wasnt even bad why they changed it?
2020 Ferrari is a bad comparison in my opinion, the Ferrari from the latter half of 2020 sounded a lot more like the Codemasters version

2018 the best
Even Mario Kart DS has better engine sounds than F1 24
2018 lowkey had good engines besides Renault and MAYBE mercedes
I think the 2018 Mercedes sound is the best Merc sound of them all. 2018 Renault is just trash.
F1 2014 sounds like a roblox game.
But we can't deny it sounds unique and I kinda prefer it more to the ones rn
F1 2014 is so bad oh my god
That’s why i play the 2014 season through F1 2015
F1 24 engines sound like absolute shit, the ferrari sounds like an RC car and honda sounds like a leaf blower. Super disappointing.
Shows how much they care sadly
Aftee F1 2020, the developers have lost the correct way to create a good F1 game
