He definitely bridges something between the words costume and fashion. I think his awareness of that is his strength, although I'm not sure how intentional he's being. I've taken offense to some of his runway shows, and have to keep in mind the concept of clothing as a "costume." That usually calms me down. He's just playing, and that's a powerful quality of any artist, so I can't really hate him.
