- Submersible power head for fresh water 20 gallon community tank. It provides excellent water circulation and aeration. It does 158gph. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to add movement and or aeration to your tank.

You don't have to, I was looking for a power head that had a 5'6" - 6' cord. Thank you for your reply. That power head does look awesome though. :)
High flow rates are very bad for betas. It should be kept in its own tank with little or no flow. A 5 gallon heavily planted tank with duckweed would be perfect.
Bettas can be kept in community tanks. It all depends on the beta. I have mine in a 20g long with 10 Normani Killi, 6 otos, and 4 african dwarf frogs. No issues. If your betas a dick then yea he prob doesn't deserve friends.
Is it possible to direct the jet of water to the sides? And what is the length of the wire exactly?
Diego Miguel Yes, you can move the pump anywhere in the tank and move the nozzle so the output motion is from left to right.
The way I have my set up it moves the water in a circular motion and produces nice movement. The power cord is maybe

Nope. This pump is quite and no vibration what so ever. That's why I did this video. For the price you just can't go wrong! I like the fact you can adjust the air flow. No bubbles or lots of bubbles.

Hey man, thanks for commenting. As you can see I have plastic plants. I put 6 different types of real plants in this tank to help with Nitrogen levels. I get too much sunlight from my skylight and I was producing a lot of algae. Real plants die and need to be trimmed . Some fish like to eat the real plants. I've had plastic plants for years and never had any problems. Real plants are a pain in the ass!

You could always add a sponge filter to the bottom, then it will. Sorry for the old response

AlsoI know this doesn't have a sponge or act as a cleaning filter but if I wanted to use this as a cleaning source also, are there any special sponge piece that can connect with this? I have a 20 gallon tank for my turtle. I just want to make it clean as possible

Madhav rj Depends. What type of fish you have. This pump might be too powerful for a 15 gallon community tank.
