I'm 94kg and a little long in the leg. I'm currently using a fusion but I struggle with... 1) leg room 2) bouyancy. Anything better out there I could consider.
What size fusion are you using? The Fusion L should be more than sufficient volume wise for you and is a bigger boat than the Ion. Other options of similar crossover kayaks are the Dagger Katana 10.4. If you are just using the boat on flat water then it would be worth looking at the Dagger Axis E, it runs well and has plenty of room inside for taller paddlers, however it is not suited to whitewater.
Like the only video on this boat didn't even know it existed until looking at pyrahna website with some difficulty. Was thinking the fusion was a good option as they were on sale last year for 1300can but are now 2174 in Canada....would buy a dagger katana at that price company is doomed to go bankrupt at prices like that they used to be the affordable name brand kayak guess that's a thing of the past.
Is this going to be suitable for a 6'1 guy, 95kg weight. Slow rivers, lakes and calm sea, maybe a little surfing but mostly to accompany my better half whilst she's paddle boarding.??
Hey Bear, Yes the Ion should work fine for you for all of that. We've had paddlers of around 100Kg in one and it floats them well. At 6'1 you should have good foot room also. If you can give one a demo first just to be sure though, thats always sensible.
Thanks for taking the time to put this together, guys!
yes lads!
