I can't believe this was written before the high baroque. Look at that amazing motif at the start of the piece. Its so chromatic that Brahms would be proud.

Sehr schöne, stimmige Interpretation! Endlich mal nicht so schnell ( frei nach Loriot: "Aber ich kann schneller" ) runtergefetzt, dass die Hälfte der kostbaren Musik untergeht! Hübsche Idee auch, die erste Fuge mit Zunge zu spielen- habe ich noch nie so gehört, aber überzeugt, da das ruhige Thema das tempomäßig hergibt. Werde ich nachher gleich auch mal ausprobieren :) .

Play each note with hesitation, because you are afraid of it's emotional effect on you, and your FEAR if your are able to handle it. FEAR of surrendering to your emotions, losing control, and sobbing all over the organ console. Does this resonate with anyone, or too much Maker's Mark? The audience should be left with chills up their al dente spaghetti spines and sobbing into their Kleenex! They will love you for it!

Womöglich dachte Bruhns in Husum: ich schreib's mal wie von mir gedacht auf - für später, wenn meine gute alte Fritzsche-Orgel renoviert und moderner gestimmt wird - in Lübeck Marien wurde 1683 milder gestimmt.
