This song means the world to me, I'm a Daddy's girl even though I'm 60yrs old, My Father passed away 4yrs ago and he lived about 200 miles from where I live, it about killed me, I went back down about a month later just to sit by his grave and talk, and I'd sing a song that we always sang together everytime we got together, from childhood till his passing, He was Inducted into the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame back in the late 80's and our song was Dolly Parton's coat of many colors, but that day sitting there crying my eye's out not wanting to leave, but I knew I had a 4 hour drive ahead of me, but as I was pulling out of the Graveyard this song came on,I could feel my Dad telling me just exactly what Luke says,Thank You Sir for your reaction hope you and your family have a blessed evening 🙏 sending love from Lafayette Georgia 🙏 🍑 So glad to hear your feeling better, Continued prayers 🙏
Very heartfelt song and reaction. I can see that 3rd verse changed your mind. This is such a great song and artist as well. I'm feeling this since I'm a Father now. Always will love and hold respect for people being here this way for their loved ones.
2021 marks the second year that Combs has partnered with Ford Motor Company through its Proud to Honor program. In support of Guitars 4 Vets, the non-profit organization aims to help military veterans suffering from PTSD and other injuries due to service, to find peace through the healing power of music. During the 55th Academy of Country Music Awards, Combs donated $25,000 worth of custom guitars to veterans. The following year, he appeared in a tribute for the military initiative during the 56th ACM Awards.
I was a single Mom so I've been through the monsters. My son served in the Navy and I worried endlessly until he was back home. In April it will mark 3 years of losing my Dad. I get visits from Cardinals Birds (Red birds known to be visiting angels) and I smile and say "Hi Dad".. this song 🎵 go full circle for me. It just fills my eyes with tears and a lump in my throat. Luke is a hometown artist not too far from where I still live. His voice and songs and first class! Thank you for reacting to this one. Love from Texas! Please get rest for your healing as I too have been very sick for a week. Homemade Chicken Soup works wonders!
This song makes me think of my grandpa every time. My Mom's Dad. He was a HUGE part of my life, in helping my parents raise me. I'd say I was closer to him than I am my own Dad. It was him who helped make me into the man that I am today. And I have him to thank for that. Sadly, just a couple months ago, at the age or 88 he passed... 😢💔... after fighting an illness for about the last year. But I know that he will always be with me, in heart. He will always be with me. As my Mom and many others have told me. All I can hope now, is that when he looks down on me, he is proud. R.I.P Bill Byerly 1933-6/27/2021 I love you ❤️
Been watching you since the beginning of your country music journey. I think you should check out Hardy - the mockingbird and The Crow, wait in the truck, SOLD OUT, JACK and anything else from him, he's an amazing artist with a incredible way of writing and tell a song/story.
Craig, I am glad you are feeling better. I never heard this song before. I cried the hole time. I have lost both my parents and grandparents. Very emotional song! Loved it!! Thank you for the reaction!!
Beautiful song by Luke from his 2nd album " What You see Is What You Get" from 2019. It covers 3 scenarios in a boys life. The first verse a son needing his dad to check for monsters, the 2nd verse the young adult son and the 3rd dealing with his Dad's passing. It's a very emotional song with the mandolin playing throughout. Luke's powerful, yet tender voice is so relatable in this song. It was his 7th number 1 song. Welcome Back Craig. So relieved that you are feeling better. You were worrying an old lady. 😊😊🤗🤗🎶🎶🇨🇦🇨🇦 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
No, Luke didn’t serve but this song touches me every time I hear it. My dad served in Vietnam and I can just imagine my grandfather hugging my dad at the airport (as well as my grandmother), wondering if they would ever see each other again. Then, a little over 8 years ago, I lost my dad to multiple cancers. I was 36 years old and my dad had just been put under Hospice care. I was crying and he patted his chair, for me to come over to him. I sat, on the floor, next to him and cried like I was a little girl again. I won’t repeat our short conversation as it’s personal but I knew everything would be ok, even though my dad wouldn’t be here anymore. If you haven’t yet, list to Luke Bryan’s Drink A Beer.
So glad you're feeling better! I'm like that as well. I rarely get sick but when I do it usually hits like a freight train. Happy to see another reaction but still take it easy if you need to! This is another artist I had never heard of before watching your channel. He has a great almost soothing voice. His son was born last year. It's a beautiful song. The third verse hits me hard, not regarding my father though. I would love to hear more from him.
One of the many watching your journey thru Country music ......don't see many female artists on your site ....maybe Faith Hill , and her video , Theme song from the flick Pearl Harbor is well woth a view . AND .....by the way .......FLY EAGLES FLY ....SUPER BOWL LVII
Yes! Could try some more Suzy Boggus, Lee Ann Womack, Terri Clark, Reba,... "I'll Hate Myself In The Morning" always makes a delightful nightcap, before you "Drive South", unless you've "Got Better Things to Do".
You react to 3 of my favorites: homefree, pentatonix, and country music! All 3 are endless rabbit holes of incredible talent and we are happy to explore them with you! I don’t think you’ve reacted to homefree’s “in the blood” yet and it’s a really good one (but aren’t they all?)
His comment about Uncle Sam & flying away is the government AKA military & he is going into the service. Americans call the Federal government Uncle Sam, because he's always watching. LOL They made posters beginning in 1917 for Army recruitment. 'Uncle Sam wants you!'. You can google it under Uncle Sam. He was depicted in a red white & blue costume with top hat & white hair. LOL

Glad you are feeling better. Great song by Luke. This one makes me cry. Thanks for sharing.
I was lucky enough to have my Dad for 55 years. He’s passed two years ago. I miss you Daddy!!😢
Very heartfelt song and reaction. I can see that 3rd verse changed your mind. This is such a great song and artist as well. I'm feeling this since I'm a Father now. Always will love and hold respect for people being here this way for their loved ones.
Glad your better !!! Love your whole vibe !!!!!!

Got me too. I love your support of the forces. Yeah that 3rd verse is a kick in the gut.
luke wrote and performed this song for his friend who dad had died recently
This song hits home for me and you can get hit just as hard from the song The Walk by Sawyer Brown
Beautiful song by Luke from his 2nd album " What You see Is What You Get"

My wife and I just had our first son 2 weeks ago and I was wondering if you could react to man that hung the moon by Brantley Gilbert
He's going off to war
His comment about Uncle Sam & flying away is the government AKA military & he is going into the service. Americans call the Federal government Uncle Sam, because he's always watching. Need to Lovin on You. It is a great video.
Luke Combs assisted the military so he wasn't fully in the military, but he helped.
Luke didn’t serve, his best friend lost his dad so this is a tribute to him :)
Idk, but I thought the part about airplane might have been the dad (Luke) going on a tour. Guess I wasn't paying enough attention.
Suggest Luke Combs and Eric Church "Does to me" collaboration.
React to wait in the truck by hardy
Your face just froze at that third verse
Please react to Hardy's song wait in the truck
Luke combs doesn't have the pretty country looks but his voice is more than enough to make up for it
you might enjoy a young man, Blaine Larsen - The Best Man
Y not check out wade hayes old enough to know better no one else has
Definitely no George Strait...can't this Dude's (new style) of country..thanks
