I consider hockey North American. Not Canada's. Northern USA loves and plays hockey just as much as they do in Canada. Go to Minnesota and see how much they love their hockey.
Lets put it this way, Hockey is still Canada's Game I played Hockey in the 1960's I was born in northern Michigan in 1946 I was a prospect for the Blackhawks. But I was drafted into the US military in 1966, where I would serve in Vietnam for five years until I was nearly Killed in 1971. But still Hockey is Canada's Game. No matter what.
Well here in Europe everybody knows that Canadiens are the creators and still the best hockey players.. USA is not bad but still behind Canada, Russia, Sweeden and Slovakia in the general opinion.. America took hockey and made it a show business and gets credits for payslips of players but in terms of a sport America is not all that special (amongst the elite of course:). Well hockey is good anyway.. in Canada or in Egypt.. as long as it's being played eh:)
America is 3rd behind Canada and Russia. Better teams and more history. European players in the NHl dont play it the Candian way. Physical hockey is part of our culture in North America. It's a different game in Europe.
I saw that 2010 Men's Gold Medal game. If you watch the replay, Crosby barely had to do shit. Iginla made that play, he took the abuse along the boards, and got the assist. Sidney was just lucky that it went five-hole through Ryan Miller's pads.
just so everyone knows, all of those american teams were made up of 25 hockey players and most of them had 15-20 canadian hockey players on them. So even though american teams have dominated the cup over the last 20 years, the cup still spends most of its time in canada. suck it
most of the players in the nhl are Canadaian we don't own the cup.. I love this sport but unless you are talking about the Olympics most of the players are always from Canada
