    Hi both of you. I am originally from Udupi which is coastal Karnataka & Patrode is one of the favourite dish we call as patrode too . I live in Trinidad West Indies surprisingly here also it is one of the famous dish they call it Saheena .

    Wow my favorite. Hum log thoda alag banate hai. Besan me sare routine masale + Garam masala + cheeni+ lemon juice aur baking soda dalke usko thoda Mota layer lagate hai. Aur steam karne k baad usko pieces me kat ke fry karte hai ya tave pe sekte hai. Mast crispy banate hai. Koi to usme butter milk dalke sabji sa bhi banate hai. It's my all time favorite.

    Ham manglore karnataka sena hai, ham bhi patrode banathe hai, but basan kee badle soaked, wet rice dry chilly dhania, jeera coconut, jaggery, salt grinder karke leaf kee upar lagake(thick layer) steam karke, badme cut karke tavepe fry karke butter kee saath khathe hai, dusare.. Steamed ko thode pieces karke seasoning kar ke (jaggery, dry chilly, coconut, salt, muskura, urad dal) khathe hai

    surprisingly arabi patta is used without tamarid or lemon......that's essentially to nutralise a comound that causes mouth ulsers...eating this causes itching in the mouth , Tamarid or lemon juice is a must

    Ham log methi Dana bhun ke besan aur chaval aata me milake taiyar karte hai masala me adrakh lahsun ki pest aur normaly jo haldi , dhaniya jira , lal mirch e sab dalke same usi tarah banate hai jese aapki mom ne banaya lekin thoda jyada pest lagate hai aur tadke me simple methi lahsun aur ray ka tadka lagake thodi chini dal dete hai try karna

    हमारे महाराष्ट्र में इसमें इमली और थोडा गुड भी डालते है ! हम लोग इसे फ्राय या शॕलोफ्राय करते है !इमली डालने से गलेमें खुजली नही होती!इस पत्ते से गले में खुजली हो सकती है !

    Liked your farm. We in Mangalore also call this dish as PATHRODE. Since we are from the foot hills of western ghats,we use colacasia leaves grown on top of the trees in the rainforest. It is cooked with rice batter and steamed.

    Gujarati people call it Patra and we make it both, deep fry or Steam. Also we make sabji of it. I love it so much, especially when its raining. Even here in Canada, get it very easily. Mouth watering 😋. In the end bye Shivoham 👋 😘😘❤

    We call it patoude.. , make them by finely chopped arvi leaves mixed with besan and spices,.make rolls ,steam them ,cut them in roundals and then fry them . Have them as snacks or prepare gravy ,drop patoude into gravy and have this sabzi with roti or boiled rice. Delicious desi dish .. 👍

    Bahut hi acha laga aaj ka video,farm me jo vegetables ko dekke bahut kushi hui ki muje vaha hona tha. Patrode ko mansoon me hi jyada banate he yaha (udupi, karnataka) rice, jaggery, tamarind, coconut aur masala, some daals bhi dalte he, leaves ke back me lines he uska skin nikalte he. Sabji bhi banate he aur tawa me ghee dalke fry bhi karte he.

    In Gujarat we call it patra. We add sugar and lemon but no onion/garlic. Yours looks yummmm

    Hello Ji, hamare yaha esko kochai patte( अरबी पत्ते) bolte h, esko dahi k sath bnaya jata h bilakul कड़हि jaise aur Es dish ko( ईड़हर bola jata h. Aur esko उड़द dal k sath bhi bnaya jaya jata h. 😀😀

    We make it in pakora form in Gujarat. We put till, rai, hing, grated coconut in tadka and sprinkle lots of fresh coriander leaves and lemon juice on top before eating.. Enjoy

    You can try jalaram ke patra.it is crunchy patrodu. it is very famous in Gujarat as a snack 🤟it is made from patrodu in your local language.

    In gujarat we call patarveli-patra
    Hum pate ki pahle jo vains (nash) ko nikal ke beshen ki paste lagakar boil karte hai.
    Four ways we eat
    1. Boil patra(patrodu)
    2. Halka sa takda lagake khate hai without roti
    3. Fry karke as pakode ki tarah
    4. Ras patra(patrodu)
    Esme mai Emali aur chini (sugar) ke pani ko takda with garam masala sabud dhanya and without onion garlic lagake boil patro du ko usme dal ke thodi der pakake usko khate hai
    Note. Gujarati never use onion garlic in patro du.

    Namaste🙏 In South Africa it's called patta leaves also prepare by adding tarmind juice to paste made with gram flour crushed chillies grated tomatoe and onions few spices and smear on leaves roll up like swiss roll and steamed once streamed patta rolls ar cooled and sliced and fried.its eaten by sandwiching it between two puris.few drops of lemon juice and enjoy.its also prepared by making tomatoe chutney and once that is ready place place fried patta on it and served with roti, rice ,putu or ur choice.the bulbs and called madumba or aroy.this is boiled with salt or cooked has a curry spicy.or ur choice of preparing.kuku....is called makai or mealies or corn this too is boiled in salt water and butter is smeared eating tym.we also prepared mealie or corn cakes and it's also roasted over flames.these ar just a few ways that I prepare these tasty Meals..has we have different cultures in South Africa same veggie meals are prepared so many different ways and shared.hope u liked just a few examples ways I prepare my patta or mealies.or yams.
