thanks Man!🔥👍 you saved me 250EUR (Milwaukee price) I have this small Parkside grinder and using it for cutting down MIG weld beads with a 4mm thick grinding 'stone' on it, but now I am buying another one for this roloc mod.../ I also use the pneumatic ones but want to leave my air compressor shut off if possible.. /

Really nice conversion. I may try it myself. Funnily enough I bought a second grinder & drill/driver from Lidl last week when they were on offer because I was so impressed with the first 2 units I'd picked up a year previously. As you said, for the money they're hard to fault.

Mark Guppy I think I must have the same one! I love them. I’m a big Makita fan but they don’t offer the small compact drills anymore and now I’ve had the park side one I wouldn’t want a makita one! Happy tinkering sir

Thanks a lot. I was thinking about a similar transformation and you showed me the way!

Finally, I did it. It took around 30 min and it's ready. Thanks again. This is the simplest, cheapest, and least time-consuming way. Appreciate your effort to share it.

Hey great idea, this is really cool to see. Can you make a small update video on actually using this in action? Would be really cool to see one in use.

I wonder if the speed could be made adjustable somehow, if only two fixed speeds or something. Either that or hacking on the switch/controller assembly from the screwdriver.
That, and now I have an excuse to buy another grinder :) Nice mod!

Hey dude thanks for the video. This seems really useful.
Can you tell me how long this tool is with grinder head attached to it in mm please? I need a tool like this for some grinding in a really tight space on my project car and was looking at the Milwaukee but its very expensive. If i can get away with using something like this that would be great

Thanks for the video. How many minutes operating time can you expect using a 4ah battery while using it for light sanding? Thank you

Thanks for the comment. To be honest im not sure, its not the typical tool i use for batch fettling work. I will use it for deburring a part, or removing a small amount of paint for a weld patch or something like that. when not in use i keep the batteries topped up? The batteries arent great but i only use the 4Amp ones now which are miles better.

Will the holder not just spin on the shaft so to speak due to the round fitment. Unless you drilled the hole to very tight tolerances and tighten the screw super tight

Not moved in a year. With regular use.

How would it move/spin? What round fitment. The threads on the roloc head and the Parkside tool are the same, no? So I don't see how two parts on tight threads (that i assume are reverse to rotation) would move more than the original center screw would with a normal disk?

@@LadyBovineno, roloc holders are normally 1/4-20 UNC (sometimes M6 on the generic holders) and I think the Parkside is M5 so I'm assuming it's holding the holder against spindle rather than threading through it.

@@davidhughes4089 I see, thanks for clearing that up. And yeah, rewatching this it does confirm it indeed wasnt threaded through.
