Im a St. Aug and Howard alum. I marched in both bands! DUDE, THERE IS NOT COMPARISON BETWEEN ST. AUG and HOWARD. I found it impossible to fall in love with the Showtime Marching Band after 5 wonderful years under Mr. Hampton's wing in the Marching 100. I think my Soph year at Howard, I heard some rumblings about Howard coming to New Orleans for Mardi Gras....Im sooooo glad they decided AGAINST that move. The Aug would have SMASHED Howard! S M A S H E D ! ! ! !
One more thing....just for clarification....speaking on D-Lo, Yohance and Kyle was not name dropping dude. That was me speaking on the few people I felt really cared about how the group sounded and performed. Those were the people who I felt took it as seriously as I did. It was not an attempt to impress you....please dont flatter yourself!

I noticed you didnt make any comments to my statements about Howard getting smashed by Jackson State in soldier field or by Hampton in Giant Stadium....dont say it didnt happen cuz I danced in both of those field shows! See what what I mean dude....y'all could really care less about your performance and your precision and your musicianship. Its all about what group do you belong to! THAT....my friend...is not worth the skilled musician that Mr. Hampton developed in me!
You better go ask Mr. Kevin Washington how they came to St. Aug and asked Mr. Hampton to talk me and Jared Ivory into coming to join the band at Howard. You dont know who you talking to kid!

That group has no passion for the discipline of marching or the dedication to the craft of music. 7. I went to Howard to get a degree, not to become a member of that marching unit. FYI, when I got there, I found some people there...why did I graduate before them...some of the "real band members"?!
