"I know my kingdom awaits and they've forgiven my mistakes" breaks my heart when thinking of him. Yes, he had flaws, like everyone, he made mistakes.. but we just want him back, and we have waited. Long enough. I just hope we'll get to tell him welcome home and that Square won't pull something ugly and kill him again. I know there's lots of people who want that, to preserve the OG's continuity, and I was one of those people at the start.. but lately I start to see the Remake Project as a final love letter and goodbye from the devs, a lot of which won't work on games anymore after this.. but this letter is not to us as fans, but to the characters they love so much more than any of us could. Not a lot of storytellers get the chance to give their beloved characters, who are like children to them, the final best ending, almost like an emotional fan fiction, a fantasy, but on another level. Those characters' stories have been going on for so long, we all already know them by heart. Now a lot of the original team is going to retire, those characters' parents.. and they wanna leave their kids with the best gift ever, and intervene to make sure this time it ends on the most hopeful and emotionally happy way it can. Give them the gift and send them off with a proper fantasy, and a final one at that. I hope with all my heart that they share my headspace, we all know already they don't want it to be a remake and I think that definition limits what they really wanna do. We all got mad because they promised a thing and wanna do something else, but now that we all are aware that it isn't a remake, I just want them to pretend they never promised a remake and just treat it like it is, the final chapter and a teary eyed goodbye letter to their kids.. that way they'll do it the way they really want, and it will be amazingly heartbreaking to get the perfect ending after too much time
my boy always suffered and still kept going for other sake , in the end he died selflessly for cloud while trying to get to midgar for after receiving aeriths letter. Now aertihs moved( cant say fully) and cloud doesnt remember him. neither the world he sworn to protect till his last breath.

I've been away but I'm glad to see these awesome video clips again! I really like this one. The song is very fitting for starters. I liked the scene where she says the rain washes away yesterday and you have a scene from zack dying on the precipice in the rain. It's nostalgic and very fitting with the word choice of yesterday since now it's a very illusive imagery. Another cool scene is the part where she says forgiving my mistakes and it has Zack and Aerith praying in different scenes and the tragedy of broken promises. and the hits keep coming; with the scene of being far away while Cloud and Zack are still moving towards Midgar juxtaposed against the refrain to where I belong played against the backdrop of Aerith's church and then completed by the phrase that it's always darkest before the dawn hovering at the cusp of the scene of the rain ending and the loose idea that Zack is still out there. And the ending of coming home wrapping up with Zack and Aerith walking back into the lifestream. Great video! You never disappoint! Thanks as always for posting! Keep up the great work!
I love it athough I use this song for Aerith's death a lot for my roleplay inspiration haha! And finally you put Aeritn waiting for Zack in CC as Zack is also being outside to enter. Aaaaargh, I'm jealous of your productivity. So I wonder if I could request more on more.

People saying “oh but they are changing the story” like no, they are retelling it, giving us the same characters we loved but throwing new curveballs at us, giving us a new experience with those beloved characters. It’s like when folk say “wish I could replay a story for the first time” this is SE doing their best to give us that ^^
